What if you could be a Battlestar Galactica Grip Boy?

WHAT THE HELL IS A GRIP BOY ANYWAY?

For years I have noticed the credits at the end of films and even though some titles made me scratch my head, I could still figure out why they were there until about 7 or so years ago(Maybe more) when this grip boy title started to appear.

Is it really a job or just an excuse to get the name of the Directors nephew in the ending credits.

And what if the Job is given to a girl? Does it have to be a boy?
Girls have grip too. I know this to be true but I'm not going to tell you how I know. :devil:

It's best boy & key grip. I can't remember what they do. I think one is an electrician or lighting guy and one rigs the boom for sound or something.

I know gaffer does refer to an electrician. A foley editor edits sound/sound effects.

Well then best boy implies that there is more then one boy. Why are all these boys running around a movie set when there should be laws to keep them in School? Does the Director look at them and say, I want you all to be good and The best one at it gets his name in the credits? Good heavens I stopped making much sense about 4 or 5 lines ago didn't I? LOL

I'm soon gonna need to get a grip my self. :)

Did you all know that I can walk in too a furniture store and get anything with no money down?

What the hell where they thinking giving such power to a guy like me?

I have a two room apartment and no where to put 38 lazy boy chairs, 55 pull out sofas's and a sponge bob tea set.

They say they are so crazy on TV and everything must go so I thought I was helping them out. :(
