So, I was playing with a fill in band this weekend at the Famous Door in New Orleans while RockBox is out of town.

Our keyboardist raises a toast to our astronauts on their current shuttle mission. He says, may they make it home safely....and may we eventually build another shuttle.

To which I reply: "And we name it Galactica!"

A few in the crowd actually got a kick out of this.

The keyboardist laughs, and says: "I think you watch a little too much sci-fi" in jest.

I reply: "Hey, they named the first one Enterprise." :D

Just thought I'd represent. :D

Bah... they don't need to build more shuttles. We've done all we are going to do/can do with them.

It's time for a NEW space ship, and it's time to return to the moon and colonize it, then onward to Mars.

Whatever that ship is should be named Galactica- The ship heading for the stars ;)

Glad ya made it out, Ive been watching the TV news, supprisingly they cover it (said in all jest) and it looks horrible. I mean, a disaster the size of UK, thats just beyond what I can comprehend. As for the shuttle, I would be happy if they even named a space probe Galactica, just something, anything to give us all a wink and nod...

It's also time for TPTB to return to the original Battlestar Galactica and for Tom and Glen to get the show on the road. They are replaying that great show up here in Canada and the only comlaint is that it's on too early for those who have to work. They are loving it up here. :thumbsup:

Awww crap, I went off topic. Well, I play in a band and also talk about Galactica. Does that count? :D
