I dont know if many of you are aware that I am expecting a baby very soon. In fact it is due between the 17th and 22nd of August.
Onepath and I thought it might be fun if people guessed the sex, weight and date that the babe will be/ born. And when it does arrive, we will post the answer and we will see who was right or nearest. We have set this up on other forums, so we apologise for those who may have already seen or had a guess. Feel free to do so again.:)
As to the weight, I will say that this babe is my second, the first was 7 and a half pounds and a girl. Onepath is a big fella (just under 6ft6) and I am a foot shorter. He is big built and I have a small frame. I dont know if this will aid your guess.:salute:
Have fun and be kind;) . I cant wait for the baby to arrive, but wished it was Onepath that was giving birth to it!

Congradulations to you both . . .
my wife and I are expection in October . . . this must be a good year for fooling around.
Ok so I want to take a shot at this . . .
Question, your style of dress, are you dressing more feminine since being pregnant or are you dressing normal but in newer items? also is your stomach larger than the first time or is it the same size, and lastly, Are your feet swelling or are they normal . . . . . :D , excuse me if these are personal question but you posed the contest and I want all the facts in order to place a good guess
Oh yeah . . I know what to ask . . .

Congrats to you and your wife too.:salute: Maybe nearer the time, you can do one of these!
The majority of my maternity wear is very smart because I only finished work the other week and its not worth buying any more for the few weeks I have left. Its funny wearing suit like trousers and a T-shirt to do the house work in! I am not wearing my shirts now that I am off, as Onepath doesnt like ironing them.;) My wardrobe tends to be on the feminine side, but it has always been that way.
My tummy is larger than last time and unless its a very hot day my feet are ok.
I hope these answers help your guess. I dont mind answering them, so if anyone else has any before making their guess, feel free to ask.

I already posted my guess above (based on my own experience, since your first was the same weight as my daughter :D )
I just wanted to add a little caution- Make SURE Rosylin doesn't count your child in her "new births" count!!! :D

In the class the wife and I are taking they say to induce labor, take long walks and warm baths, spicy foods, a "little" wine, and fooling around . . :D
( in moderation of course )
I like the last part myself . . . but what they said was more importantly the little one will come when it's ready . .
good luck Kitty

We have been doing the above, except the wine and not in moderation either!;)
I do think that it doesnt want to be a leo and is gunning for a virgo star sign.
We are ready for the babe and have been for a few weeks. The babe has passed its due date and so it should be ready too!!!:D Its not like it has to get the nursery ready and get in a mountain of supplies in nappies etc.:rotf:
And Warrior, thats a threat that I hadnt considered until now. :salute:

Ummm, who knows the baby could wind up being an avid NuBSG fan . . . :D
That would be funny.
You know, my wife and I found out that the hospitals usually fudge the due dates so that you give birth earlier rather than when you are actually due. For the most part there is a 2 week laps in the timimg. I think it has to do with the actual time of your monthly cycle. I am a little vague(sp) on the actual theory here so bare with me, (also excuse the spelling, it's 5:46am and I haven't started my coffee yet)
I think they start the measurement at the start of that last " . " but that is pointless because there are no eggs yet. So you have to reasonably give it a week or two from that and this would be your due date.
( at least that is what I understood with my limited male brain )
The second way they try to measure due date is the size of the baby from the sonagrams . . . which I don't believe is too accurate because every time we went for a sonagram the due date kept changing by a few days so go figure . . .
we are schedualed for Oct 22nd . . . this should be interesting to see the actual date.
Anyway, for you it could be any day now, the anxiety must be at an all time high over there . . . we are all with you in spirit . . .

All the estimates are based on averages anyway, so you don't have to be a statistician to know that it only applies to most pregnancies, most of the time!!
I was born 2 weeks 'late', my brother, two weeks 'early' (and we landed up with the same birthday, 4 years apart!!)
Doctors explained to Mum that it was no big deal, one of us had fallen on one side of the estimates table for due date, the other on the other side...
But, here's hoping for a speedy and safe exit, anyway...
Cheers,
Lara
