I think it might be worthwhile for those not aware of what presently is available on DVD in terms of TV shows that feature appearances by principal Galactica cast members, this little guide can prove handy. If anyone else can add to it, feel free to do so.

Nice bit of research, Eric.
I have to do a little investigating to make sure but, I'm almost certain that Bonanza is available on DVD.
A question - would this listing also encompass 'mini-series' that were broadcast on television? I'm thinking in terms of 'North & South' which featured Lloyd Bridges and 'War and Remembrance' which featured Jane Seymour.

Miniseries and TV movies I think could best be put in the same list that theatrical movies on DVD would go on.
I haven't looked yet at those TV show sets etc. that the Galactica guest stars or minor players (like Larry Manetti who is represented by both seasons of Magnum on DVD and the new release of "Baa Baa Black Sheep") are represented on as opposed to the regulars. For the big guest stars like Patrick Macnee etc. the list would really be voluminous! :)
Yes Pete, there are some Bonanza DVD sets out but they are if I'm not mistaken rather cheap public domain video releases and not the kind of good quality release by the rights holder that would be more worth having on DVD.

Eric you missed out Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Season 2 (Episode "Blood Oath") for John Colicos.
Also, I'm not sure if there are any X-Men 90s Cartoon series DVDs out (there's at least one), as John Colicos was Apocalypse in that.

For Richard Hatch, there's also Kung Fu Season 1 (the episode "Sun and Cloud Shadow")

Re: Bonanza, that's probably what they are -- I've seen a lot of "mix and match" variety on the store shelves. It does look like a quick 'slap-together'.
Re: Macnee, The Avengers series would likely be my first selection.

One wonderfully obscure Macnee appearance on DVD is the Season 1 "Twilight Zone" episode "Judgment Night" which stars Nehemiah Persoff (also a Galactica guest star).

The first season of The Partridge Family is now on DVD. Herbert Jefferson Jr. was a guest in an episode which also starred--ahem--Richard Pryor (I am not making this up).
Some of the other guests from the first season were Ray Bolger/Vector, Ben Frank/Cella and Ken Swofford/General Maxwell.
Actually, I am considering buying this. David was my first love (sorry, Richard).

Time to update this list for the first time in a long while. The Season 1 and 2 DVD release of "T.J. Hooker" features Herb Jefferson's episode "The Empty Gun" (Season 2, Episode 3).
One more season of "Columbo" on DVD will also land us Herb's appearance in the episode "Playback". I expect that to be out sometime early next year since Universal seems committed to putting the entire run of that show out on DVD.

A Lorne Greene guest appearance from 1956 can be found in the new season 1 release of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" in the episode "Help Wanted." In this pre-Bonanza role, Lorne plays a very unsavory millionaire who orders a meek and timid employee to kill someone for him.

A UK DVD set of The Six Million Dollar Man season one is scheduled for release. Laurette Spang appeared in one of the early episodes. Terry Carter had made a few guest appearences in a couple of early episodes as a fellow OSI agent. I still hope Universal gets its act together and releases Region 1 sets.

Terry Carter was in an episode of Combat titled "the Long wait." He was the only African-American actor ever featured on the series.

Okay...
I've got one and it goes all the way back to 1970!
I just saw Herbert Jefferson Jr. in a first season epsiode of The Partridge Family on DVD. The episode is called "Soul Club" and Herb is playing the role of the local "Afro American Cultural Club" leader. This episode also featured Lou Gossett and Richard Pryor as brothers that own a nightclub in an old firehouse trying to raise money to keep it.
I always loved this show as a very young person and I still find the music fun to listen to. It's quite a treat to see the acting talent of Shirley Jones, David Cassidy and Susan Dey again way back in the much simpler times of the early 70's.
Best to all,
Bryan

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Season 2 (Episode "Blood Oath")
Reprised his role as Commander Kor; joining him were Michael Ansara (Commander Kang) and William Campbell (Commander Koloth).

Doctor Salik, aka Mr George Murdoch, guest stars in the superb 'Dead Zone' season 1, episode #4: 'Enigma'.
He is a principal 'guest' character, and although he is only on screen for a few minutes, he puts in an absolutely first rate performance in a story of long lost love.
Its nice to see at least one of the BSG crew's talents are still being used!

January 8th, 2006, 03:30 PM
Though Sea Wolves, as a feature movie, would belong on a separate list of theatrical movies on DVD featuring Galactica cast/guest cast. I imagine a list like that would be far more numerous (and in the case of AL, hard to keep track of when factoring in films where she did voice work only).

Here's one new addition I'd forgotten about until now. A "best of" set of the 1950s sitcom "Sergeant Bilko" has been put out on DVD, and has several episodes where Terry Carter appeared as one of the soldiers in the scheming Bilko's platoon.

I leave out theatrical and TV movies from the list, which is what those two appearances of Terry's are.
I haven't heard anything about "The Rookies" appearing on DVD, and even if it does, it would have to be a first season appearance to make the list.
I do need to add a Season 2 appearance of Herb's on "T.J. Hooker" which is out.

The third season of "The Waltons" is now on DVD. Richard is in the opening episode, called The Conflict.
The Conflict was one of the first "biggie premiere" episodes of a series ever created. It was two hours and made a pretty strong political statement about the government taking over private land to create a national park. (Although the park isn't mentioned, I believe it must be Shenandoah National Park.) Richard plays Wade Walton, a cousin of the family. The episode is one of the most famous of the series, and definitely its most notorious--it's the one where John-Boy gets shot.
Wade will return in the fifth season of The Waltons.

A-Team, The - It All Comes To An End For Hannibal, B.A., Faceman and Murdock: Tentative Date For Final Season!
Posted by David Lambert.
Last April we http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5437" reported that a coupon enclosed with the fourth season had revealed that the 5th and final season of The A-Team would see release before the end of the year, with October as the target timeframe. Now we have a more exact release date!
We've learned from our retail sources that The A-Team - Season 5 is penciled-in for release on October 10th, along with Magnum, P.I. and the long-awaited first release of Simon & Simon. This is still an unofficial date, though, and will be until it's officially announced by Universal Studios. Hopefully that will occur in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
