Sorry for my absence

Sorry that I haven't been around much but my life has been thrown upside down in the last few weeks due to a family crisis.

I would ask that you all understand why I was not here and also that you pray for my husband's 82 yr old grandmother, who has been in a health crisis recently. She is in a nursing home and three weeks ago fell out of her wheelchair and hit her face. She bruised the area around her nose pretty good and the bruises have pretty much healed since then but there have been other problems that arose too. She was sent to another facility for some help to recover from the fall. During this time she either slept or screamed. She was on meds for it and they have done tests and are still getting results back but she has not spoken since she fell. As far as I know the doctors have ruled out a stroke but they said she has other health problems. For a while she was not eating but she was taking in liquids. I am trying to help my mother in law right now as it is her mother. She is having trouble preparing for the worst when it does happen. I don't know how much longer she will be with us as it does not look that good right now. So if I am absent more please understand and pray for my family. i will let you all know how things are going when I can.

Thaks gang. Its been a little crazy here with that and trying to get the plans for hubby's retirement from the Navy done and set for October and I am suprised I am still sane! I will let you all know what's going on when I hear it and hope that you won't miss me too much during Memorial Day weekend as I am going on a mini vacation with hubby for an early anniversary trip seeing it is the only time his stupid boss is giving us as he gets no vacation time because the job is all contract work! I get to spend Mother's Day weekend with my mom and dad while he has drill!

BSG, I'm not a praying person but I am a thoughtful and hopeful one. My thoughts and my hopes are with hubby'e grandmother and his mom, and both you and him and everyone in your family. Ugh. This kind of stuff just sucks. While it's easier written than done, don't forget to take care of yourself in this. You keep your wits about you and are better help to the people who need you for doing so. Best wishes and take care.

now on top of my hubby's grandma I just found out this morning that when my stepdad got injured at his job a few weeks ago it caused some problems. The doctor found out that my stepdad has the same problem that his grandmother had and may have to have hip replacement surgery and that a nerve got pinched when he got injured on top of it so he is a hurting daggit right now!!!!!!!!!!! He can go to work but no lifting, bending or any physical stuff. basically all he is to do till they know what they are going to do is sit at his desk at work and shuffle papers or do work on the computer at his desk! Plus go to therapy for his back!
