When we get our new movie (it will happen, just a matter of time), what narration intro would you like to hear?
If you picked "All New", please type out what saying you'd like.

Well......a little of both - old and new:
I would like to see Patrick Macnee reprise the opening narration from TOS but, add to it with a lead-in of the more recent happenings, to set the stage for the show's timeframe.

Yeah I would go with that ..
perhap the voice of Commander Apollo tell us of the troubles and loses of the fleet and his father.
Perhaps even a funerl scene with the coffin of adama beening blasted it to space

Taranis -
I like the idea of Apollo doing the opening narrarion (I like Patrick MacNee too), I think that a short telling of the state of the Fleet and their journey could be very moving.
Sorry, I'm not a writer, or I would suggest something along the lines of a narration...
Best,
Bryan

If anyone but Patrick were to do it, I'd like either Rigel or Tigh to do it :D

I really want it to start with the original part, it could be sandwiched in front or after with a sort of "state of the fleet's flight" statement. After would be best as the majority of the prologue transfers our point of view from earth-centric to the perspective of watching another culture's history in motion in a galaxy far from our own.
Kinda like another show used a fairytale beginning adapted to space, " a long time ago in a galaxy, far, far away".
Whatever the verbage, it is critical to have that jumping off point. Macnee's intro into Apollo or Tigh doing a verbal log entry reflecting on their journey so far would work.
Oh, If I had THAT, you'd have at least a 1-2 hour episode long story from me. That be where I get stuck!

Macnee's intro into (snip) a verbal log entry reflecting on their journey so far would work.
That's it exactly. Just like many of the episodes, do Macnees narration, then the theme, then begin a narrated log entry by a major character covering the nessicary background, like "It has been 30 yahrens since Adama died, and I still don't feel comfortable at his desk."

...but which McNee intro? The first two are by him. Listen to them. They're links :)
That's what this thread is about. Not what follows, etc.
Just that one thing- The opening narration :P:

Hey, Mr. Lone Wolf,
I DID listen to them :P:
My heart leans to the first one but, I like the second one, too.
When I mentioned "adding to it", I meant to use the entire Macnee narration and THEN, add "something" to bring it up to present day. Just a thought, although, the more I think about it, the narration may be just fine, by itself.
:D

The second ahs the advantage of explaining what's going on to those who haven't seen the original series, but .... It lacks all the goodness the Original had.
Any chance of combining them?
Nope, still going with "Original".
