This is my replica of Starbuck's "Starchaser" helmet from the episode "The Long Patrol" when he's captured and put in "Ambrosa prison" labelled "Bootlegger 157". The base of the helmet is a vintage 1970's hockey helmet that's been stripped down and painted. The badge on the forehead is a complete fabrication by me. I searched for months to find an existing badge that matched the one on the show, but with no luck. So I finally just got down and made detail studies from the episode and sculpted a replica. It's probably incredibly inaccurate, but the overall look is appropriate. Like my Baltar helmet, I have to get the padding fixed in this one. I hate doing the padding.... |
