Ah well, like the saying goes -- only 2 things that you can be sure of is death and taxes.
In a way, though, it seems like the states are trying to protect their "main street businesses" by leveling the playing field. The "no tax" benefit of internet purchases was a definitely a plus in the online purchase column, in addition to the fact that you don't have to leave home to make a purchase.
I just wish states could live within their means and not try to tax everything, whether it moves or not.
