Default viper

Nice to see my name in the credits there, might have been even nicer if I was emailed about the animation rather than having to find out by accident.

I've never even seen a picture of my viper rendered by someone else, never mind an entire animation.

Nice to see it in action at last, maybe next time I can get a heads up first.

Wil,

I've been circling around you on the net. Glad to finally make contact.

Hi starmaster .

I just followed a link to this thread from scifi-meshes, and had to sign up just so I can say wow.

WOW!

This is an amazing video.

(now for my ulterior motive...)

Where did you get the explosion images? are they free or comercial?

Cheers,

DAve

I've got to admit I groaned when I saw the movie was a show-vs-show battlefest, but I have to admit I'm hugely impressed.

To nitpick: I think the camerawork was a tad bouncy, but generally very well executed. The whip-pans, fast-zooms and the rest was all done with great reserve, (that's a complement ) but sometimes it didn't feel like there was a real cameraman in there. Maybe it could have been tightened up a little.

Second - and my only big constructive crit - is you open with a few shots of Battlestars on the right and Imperials on the left, and then a few shots in you break the 180 rule and suddenly the Battlestars are on the left. The result is just a brief moment where you think the good guys are the bad guys.

Other than that the whole film had a lot of style and some great shots. I really liked the dodgem vipers at the end too!

If you ever fancy a team up with another Lightwaver for an animation, give me a shout
