So take a real close look at my avatar :)
I had a little fun this evening!
Those of you who heard DeSanto talk about what he wanted to do with Galactica will recognize why I did that... it just seemed like good practice for doing animations... 
(I would have loved to have a better picture so if anyone has one that's a decent size, I'd appreciate it!)

It's the Tom DeSanto Apollo  - that's why the eyes. They do actually move but I couldn't have a bigger avatar than that on CF so that's what we ended up with .
It was fun to make though <G>.

Someone beat me to it!
I kept thinking about the picture, but it's kinda small, so I was thinking that whatever the difference was, it's gonna be very subtle.
As I went to bed last night, I remembered that I didn't check the eyes!

I kinda thought so too, lol! Cool and creepy that is...
I need a better picture of Apollo so I can do justice to the cylon eye thing but I couldn't find a better one...

For those who haven't heard Tom DeSanto's spiel, he stated that one of the things that was going to happen in his version was that Apollo was to have gone missing for a specified period of time (which is why Boxey/Orin was in charge of the Galactica). At the end of the first episode or season (can't remember which) he would have been seen... and a close-in shot would have shown the revolving red eye in his pupils... that's why I call it the desantoapollo lol .
Anyway, the part I liked was that the next season would have been a father-son duel that would have ended with redemption for Apollo at the end. I always liked that.
DeSanto knew how to treat Galactica... unlike others I could mention but won't . |
