Nice to see you posting again Kingfish.
I'd like to see the TOS Telemovie editions on DVD, and certainly the G80 Telemovie too....

There were additional scenes edited into place. Many of them are included as the deleted scenes on the DVDs.

But, if you bought the British edition of the DVD boxset, you didn't get the deleted scenes that the Americans did on their edition of the boxset

I would pay real money for a complete, unabridged set of all TOS, including G80.
I would be unlikely to buy G80 on its own, except at a discount special rate, (to be completist) but would happily have it as part of a definitive collection:
You know, the one we all dream of, the one with ALL the footage, ALL the telemovies (that we never saw in Aus) ALL the theatrical releases (all versions) and the ALL the TV broadcast episodes (all versions), and of course any interview and commentary extras. to fill the final disc
R4 gotted stiffed on the R1 content, even if you paid the premium fro the Cylon Head Packaging. The DVDs are different to my VHS tapes, which are different to the original network broadcast. I can only prove the latter with memory, and a couple of audio tapes of eps I made in desperation becasue my parents didn't have a VCR back then
The copies of TNS that my brother in law is burning to disc off his hard drive recorder is all that I want from that show. I wouldn't part with hard earned cash for it. I was given a copy of the mini at Christmas by a well meaning rellie who thought it was a missing ep/ new release of TOS.
BTW its interesting to see the curse of several different broadcast versions has been visited on TNS . If it went to DVD, the TNS fans will be wanting both the Brit and The US versions, the missing scenes etc etc.
In this it just may be that when some TNS fans walk a mile along that weary road trod by so many TOS fans before them, they may begin to understand some of our pain. For some, that will be when open dialogue is possible.
Cheers,
Lara
