Default Rebuilding my refit Enterprise bridge set...

I've decided to try and step up my internal set building for my Star Trek projects. I had a bridge layout for the refit Enterprise from before, but I wanted to do a more fitting redo. The console surfaces for each of the control stations should look a bit more indigenous to the environment when I complete this. I still have a ways to go , but here are a couple of progress pics for the curious.

As always, components constructed in Blender, assembled in iClone.

A fitting refit? A refit that's fitting?
Hhmm....

As befits the refit?

That would be fitting.
Think you can fit that in?

I think I might, as long as my computer doesn't give me fits!

Hopefully, your operating system fits your needs.

Actually, the operating system does fit my needs....but iClone still has a few minor issues that need to be worked out...especially when working with color swatches or the timeline function. I've found a few workarounds, so I can usually get a good 98 percent functionality...but every now and then, when monkeying either with the timeline or color swatches, the app will crash...and then I DO go into a fit.

UPDATE:
As you can see, I've now started to add control surfaces to some of the consoles.
Stations like science, communications, and environmental control are set up so that video displays can be shown in the oval display screens, much like the rear-projections screens of the actual bridge set for Star Trek The Motion Picture, and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Also, I've designed this bridge so that key stations can be moved around to different positions, so I can represent a few different bridge modules of that era, again, ala The Wrath of Khan.

I've even added a bit of specularity to some consoles, to give them that slick, glossy appearance.

Looks good. Just don't have a fit about it.

I don't plan on having a fit as that would make me unfit for refit duty, and that would not befit one of my fit state.

Glad you like it. I'd say I have about 50 percent of the consoles textured with control surfaces, including the helm/nav console. (Still need to add the astrogator screen to that.)

Well, looks like all your fittings are in place, so I think they can fit you in.

Most of the major control surfaces on the bridge set have been completed. I think all that is left is the weapons station alcove, and the main view screen itself. Then I need to add chairs, and turbolift doors, as well as make some displays and controls for the turbolift interiors.

Alrighty, here are the updates for my refit Enterprise bridge set. The spokesmodel might be a little out of place though. It's Athena from my Battlestar Galactica projects. But she is just so darned cute that I made her my spokesmodel for all my sci-fi projects, regardless of what they are.
I was not satisfied with the original versions of my chairs...so I redid them before even posting images. I think they don't look cartoony like my original versions would have. The chairs are perform ready too. (For you non-iClone users, that means I can have the head rest elevate or lower, and the armrests drop into position over the lap, either casually, or to act as restraints in battle or emergency situations (ala Star Trek The Motion Picture).
All I need to do now is just add a few more video panels to certain consoles, and my bridge ought to be filming-ready. (Still have to make the characters though. )

WIthout further ado, here is my very nearly completed bridge set for the refit USS Enterprise, NCC-1701.

Thanks, everybody.

Oh, wouldn't I LOVE to get this printed out in full scale?!
Trust me, this build is very amateurish compared to some of the digital rebuilds I've seen by other far more talented modelers.

I need to start learning how to texture and bake in Blender so that my models will hold up in just about any 3D program, and not just iClone.
