Horrible choice of a name. But its suppose to be a great film.
This looks to be something I am really looking forward to seeing. Its one of those animes that transcend the genre. Its not a show about robots, spaceships or supernatural powers. Its about the meaning and richness of a person's life.
The film is about an actress who has since grown old and disappeared from the world. But one of her fans find her and gives her a special key she once lost. And he then follows her on a magical journey back through her life. She is agina playing all the roles she had acted, but these acting parts suddenly become real. The movie world replaces the real world. And the fan is a voyeur on the journey through her films. And as each one is replayed, together, it all forms a sort of message. A search she has always been on. Something you can see once you put all her work together.
This is done by the same guy who did Perfect Blue. If you didn't see that you are missing a great film. Its an anime that is not anime. Its about an actress trying to escape the childish popstar role she became famous on and be a serious actress. but an obssessed fan hates the change. He hates the way she has remade herself. He sees her as an imposter having killed off the real version, the one he loved. And the actress must now deal with a very sick stalker. Its is an incredible anime. And very well done. But not for kids.
