Superman/Smallville when it comes to
3D modeles i've seen FBX file version of a model what program uses it thanks

FBX is something that has plug-ins for both 3DSMax *and* Lightwave, thus making converting from one format to another much easier.

Kaydara FBX or Filmbox format, now Alias FBX, is a file format that allows exchanging 3D objects and animations between 3D apps. It can work well, but also produces some unexpected results from time to time.
