Ok here this is mine it has stuck in my head for decades....

"Tis a far far better thing I do than I have ever done. 'Tis a far far better rest I go to than I have ever known."

Spoken by a man but I can't recall to whom he said it, I'll try and find it.

This should be easy for those who love the classics.

OK - at the end of Star Trek: Wrath of Kahn. Kirk is standing at the railing looking at the viewscreen displaying the brand-new Genesis planet, and he's talking to Carol Marcus.

The quote is from Dickens' Tale of Two Cities, which begins "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". The book was a birthday present from Spock at the beginning of the movie.

Here's a gimme:

"What magnificent knockers!"

Who said it, to whom, where and what movie?

I know this one!!!!!!!!!!!! It's about time hua?

It's from Star Trek, Spock says it to Jim right after he saves the ship !

The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few or the one........ I have been and always shall be your friend...........

I think it is from the Wrath of Kahn???? Am I close enough????????

I do believe he says it twice in WOK - once when Kirk assumes command of the Enterprise, again after he saves the ship at the end. He also says it again at the end of Search for Spock.

Isn't that right, Julix? Amberstar got it!?

The only other possibility is when Spock's "katra" is reunited with his body, on Vulcan, in ST III: The Search for Spock. As Spock is 'remembering', he repeats some of the lines from TWOK. That was one of them. The only part that is puzzling me, now, is if he said "shall" or "will".

You had to say that.......Shall/will is going to bother me all night long, or until I figure it out.

I think, somewhere...

(I had the "brilliant" idea, years ago, of naming my movie tapes - Movies-Volume I, Volume II, etc. In case I ever wanted to tape over something, I didn't have to cross the taped-over movie off the index label. Now, the only problem is that I forget "what's on what"!!)

I cheated because I had to know (what would I do without Google?!)

From The Wrath of Khan:
You are my superior officer. You are also my friend. I have been and always shall be yours.

I have been and always shall be your friend.

From The Search for Spock:
My father says you have been my friend you came back for me, why did you do this?

I have been and always shall be your friend, Jim!! your name is Jim .

Julix,

A fumarillo is what Starbuck smoked -- in Earth terms, ... a cigar.
