Default Waterfalls and tears

This is my very first attempt at poetry, sorry if it seems a bit disjointed. Its words from my heart for Muffit who has inspired me time and again to reach for the words and feelings in my heart with her glorious words. I miss you my friend!

Waterfalls and Tears

Waterfalls and tears are alike in some ways,
they carry water to a single destination,
sometimes they do not.

Both are wet and run freely,
refusing to be stopped.
Running over objects in their paths
they care not about the obstruction,
they follow the eternal course that they are on.

In time they dry up and fade away,
but their memory is never forgotten.

They comfort us in time of need,
providing us a place where
we are free to experience
everything they have to offer.

Waterfalls and tears can be
a source of comfort or a they
can be a source of contemplation
in times of trouble.

Just as the wind is always around us,
so are waterfalls and tears.
For they never leave us,
we leave them.
