Physics is all about probabilities. Light is the easiest way to see this in everyday life.

Probability as PROOF.
The point is that the universe has to be deterministic to operate by cause and effect, but in order for determinism to work, uncertainty has to be present. Hence why free will and pre-determination not only are not mutually exclusive, but must be congruent for our universe to exist!
