UNIVERSAL HD BRINGS ON SUMMER FILMS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY IN JUNE

Bring It On, Casper, The Musketeer and Mercury Rising Make Their World HD Premiere

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- May 25, 2005 -– This June, NBC Universal Cable brings several exciting new films and special events to its ever-growing Universal HD lineup.

June 6 marks the Universal HD debut of "The Musketeer," an eastern-influenced update of Alexander Dumas' classic adventure novel. In 17th Century Paris, dashing swordsman D'Artagnan (Justin Chambers) attempts to avenge the murder of his parents and release France from civil unrest by joining the king's legendary elite guards, The Royal Musketeers. The film also stars Catherine Deneuve, Tim Roth, Stephen Rea, and Mena Suvari.

Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku headline "Bring It On," premiering on June 11. In this engaging comedy, a high school cheerleading captain (Dunst) must motivate her team to a championship victory after learning that her predecessor had stolen their award-winning routines from a rival squad, led by Gabrielle Union.

June 18 will be fun for the entire family with the debut of "Casper." When a ghost hunter (Bill Pullman) is hired to exorcise a group of malevolent ghosts from an old house, his daughter Kat (Christina Ricci) befriends the youngest, Casper, who turns out to be not so nasty after all. This film, which also stars Cathy Moriarity and Eric Idle, will delight children and adults alike.

On Father's Day, June 19, Universal HD unleashes the thriller "Mercury Rising," starring Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin. When a 9-year-old autistic boy cracks a top secret US Government code, he becomes a target for assassins and must be protected by a rogue FBI agent (Willis).

Universal HD, an NBC Universal Cable network, launched in fourth quarter 2004 is currently available in systems reaching more than 25 million homes in 100% 1080i HD, 24/7. Universal HD offers the best of NBC Universal's library in HD.
