Default BSG references in other productions...

I was just watching a really bad Daniel Baldwin movie on cable (Fallout, 1998) when something kinda cool popped out at me...

There is a scene where Baldwin is in a simulator for some untested space plane. They cut to the computer control booth right after he blows up his simulated plane and standing behind the technician is a guy in some kind of uniform. Above his right pocket is, lo and behold, the Galactica warrior patch!

It was the only decent moment in the whole film, unfortunately.

I was wondering if you guys had found similar references to BSG in other movies, be it dialog or props, etc.

For example, I finally saw the BSG shuttle in the Buck Rogers season 2 pilot the other night, and there is the famous A-Team scene with Dirk and the Cylon...

Any others?

The pilot for Knight Rider used the Cylon Eye sound effect for KITT's sensors when he first appeared.

The Cylon tour from Universal studios, complete with Centurions et al, was used in the 1980 film, "The Nude Bomb", with Don Adams, aka Maxwell Smart.

Once on Futurama there was a singing duo named Cylon and Garfunkle. The Cylon sang in the usual droning voice and even got a little choked up afterwards from the applause.

Also in Knight Rider, there was an episode where there was a fancy dress party and one of the guests had a Cylon helmet on. It might have been the same episode, Michael was snooping round the Universal backlot and you could quite plainly see the full size Viper mock-up, which looked in bad shape.

Regards,

Peter

Anyone remember The A-Team? In the opening theme song, there is a cut scene with Dirk Benedict walking on a movie set and walks past a cylon, stops and shakes his head before moving on....

The Simpsons

Bi-Mon Sci-Fi Con featuring Robot Tag-Team Wrestling...its the Evil Robots of Battlestar Galactica vs. The Gay Robots of Star Wars.

A Cylon jumbs from the top rope and puts an elbow in 3PO's head.
