New GALACTICA series still up in the air

Ronald Moore talks about the latest GALACTICA news.

In an interview with SyFy Portal, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA showrunner and executive producer Ronald D. Moore said the jury's still out whether Sci Fi Channel will pick up GALACTICA as a new series. "We're still in discussions with the network, the actors' contracts have been extended until the end of January (that is the time period in which their options for series can be picked up) and I've been working on the show bible and the first few episodes in anticipation of a possible order," explains Moore to the website.

The biggest concern is how much each episode of the ambitious space series would run the cable network. With an ensemble cast and a reliance on visual effects, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA would need a sizeable budget to deliver weekly entertainment value. While the ratings for the recent mini-series were solid (scoring the network its third-highest ratings ever), a series might not see the same results.

The Galactica Board on SciFi has been updated.
The header reads Ron Moore talks about a new Battlestar Galactica series...
While the info is what scifiwire stated yesterday (and includes the first paragraph of the Cinescape message), the header is a dead give away that something is coming down the pipe.
Its not Galactica In The Air...its a New Galactica Series.
Stay tuned for more developments.

I don't trust the Skiffy boards, but the rumblings do indicate that something is going on. I'm eager to hear the official word one way or the other. The waiting is what bugs me.

I am not sure how significant this really is. This is referencing the SyFy Portal story from a few days ago. It may be Bonnie Hammer transmitting sublimal signals to the fans. It may be a bored web master just updating a link. Who knows? It's good to get excited.

The amazing thing is if you play the audio from the flash animation backwards, apparently Paul McCartney is dead.

Syfyportal thinks he was in Puerto Rico,and is working on confirmation.

The story has been corrected. Apparently Mr. Olmos is a little hard of hearing.

Omos’s was telling the reporter on the elevator that if you are fan of the original Battlestar Galactica you’ll hate the series.

Then the reporter asked, “Are you going to be shooting more on the series?

Mr. Olmos thought the reporter said, “Are you going to be shooting Ron Moore, seriously?”

To which Mr. Olnos whispered “Next month.”

So it appears that we will have to wait just a little longer for the news.

I can understand how some of us mini-fans might think things get a bit one sided though.

Yeah, I assumed koenigrules got the joke. I thought his reply was funny.

I think even though we have different opinions about the miniseries, we can kid around and make bad jokes.

I have enjoyed trading jokes with koenigrules, Darth Marley, ahd others here on the Bad Side.

Back to my tech forum where we are also making bad jokes.

reading these posts, we don't mean Ron's going to be shot with a real gun. Uhhh... he's doing a photo shoot...dressed in lingerie...for the new Victoria's Secret catalog. Yeah, that's the ticket.

That is really not a nice image to put in peoples minds, it is getting close to lunch here.

Sorry Ron your not super model, As it looks now, Moore BSG will become a series, Its only good news if it leads to a Larson BSG Movie!
