my first post...longtime reader
well ive read these forums for awhile now and have followed about the last 3 yrs whats been going on or what hasnt been going on.....i was hoping scifi would do a series on battlestar galactica but they have really messed up a gem of a series......why dont they get it....hopefully we can get a good movie out of larson/desanto with hatch and benedict and others before they are too old to do it right.....i loved the old series except for the kiddie stuff and the space morman stuff.....my favorite episode was "the living legend"....wow and they only had one real season and were still talking about it today.....you think they would see what happened to the star trek universe once they made movies with original actors and similiar universe and then launched tv series......doesnt take a brain surgeon to see that this would also succeed with battlestar universe.
i watched "the lowdown" on scifi and it seemed like moore really hated the old series...it seems he took every opportunity to slam it....it really was an in your face to the original series fans....what do they think they are doing by slamming the old series and their fans.....rofl

I got the impression that Moore never watched the series. I read in one of his interviews that he watched the pilot and part of a another episode, I think he said "The living Legend", when he got asked to do the show. From the answers he gave on "The Letdown" it was obvious he really didn't know much about the story.

thanks for the welcome ppl.....a far greater welcome than sci fi is giving us.......and i read that moore was a writer for star trek...anyone know what he wrote? you think he would understand our viewpoints coming from star trek

Welcome to Colonial Fleets Miles! Yeah, it is so sad they had to ruin a beloved property like BSG just so they could experiment. The saddest thing is the attitude they display toward fans. I don't think I've ever seen show creators treat their prospective viewers so badly...
