Well, I like it. it's more angular and closer fitting to the head. The mic has an Ant-Man sort of feel to it and the Cobra-look of the helmet seems to be more emphasised.

Not sure about the "eagle" though.

Now, what can we get him to do next...?

Huh. I think I like this design better that the Original's or DeSanto's.

Big Grin

Thanks for posting that Peter.

Yeah, the bird doesn't look like what I had in mind from the front. It's supposed to be alot more sleek and streamlined, but I never did a close-up drawing. I wanted it larger and longer, but the front view makes it look fat. Didn't intend that.

All we've got to do now is beat him with old rolled-up copies of Starlog and make him do a full-sized one! (Can anyone wait till the 30th anniversary, I know how busy he is!)

I like it better than those two and about the same as the G'80 version.

Yeah, I actually like the G80 version better than the original or DeSanto's too. I was never really that hot on DeSanto's helmet, I thought it strayed too far from the Pharoh Headress look. I like this one a little better than G80 though.

One idea I always had about updating the helmets was to have the lights on them, actually be force field generators, like in the hanger bays in Start Wars, so the helmet can double as a space helmet, rather than just having a clear acrylic visor.

I can't say it's better than the original, nothing is better than that! But it is a VERY COOL design, Gordon. Can't wait to see full size mock up of this one!

Gordon has just given me permission to do this as a kit, to offer everyone, and it'll debut at wonderfest. Will commence construction in a day or so.
This will be offered here FIRST at the fleets!

Maybe we title this the Colonial Fleets Custom Exclusive?

Michael, be sure you inscribe your name and mine on the original so it comes out in the mold. Gotta sign our art, y'know?

Y'all got alot of work to get done by July!

Michael,

Can't wait to see it. Gonna be cool. If you have any other questions about the design, just let me know.

Yup, definitely can't wait to see it (and the little sign displayed at Wonderfest that says "Re-designed by Gordon Smuder- Sculpted by Michael Miles").

hee.
