Well the BSG fans are going to piggy back on the VCON they have established that much, and they are in the process of contacting the mini actors and exploring their resources like maybe getting to tour the studios were it is filmed (maybe see real vipers whooohoooo) so this info won't be on the VCON site but I will keep you posted on any changes keeping my fingers crossed it's still very much up in the air.

It would be great for me because I can't afford travel costs at this point in my life! I've volunteered my help but haven't been taken up on it yet so I'll see..

Thanks DarkJedi

I may be a guru but there are conventions out there that miss my radar. lol and this was one of them. That's why I am always loving it when others (like you) come forward with their information. ONE of the many reasons why I begged for this forum.

I've been known to travel 3000 miles before to attend a convention, so I certainly don't mind doing the same again. Is there a good way (besides here) to keep informed about updates? Frankly, if the mini crew isn't there, I won't take the time or money to go...

and Crys it would be very cool to meet you... and a pleasure to give you a tour of the town.

Well the convention is this weekend I'll be volunteering on Friday and Saturday if Friday goes well that is, LOL. Sunday they are having the BSG component. Aaron says he is still not sure if he will be coming, Paul Campbell who plays Billy Keikeya the Presidents assistant is supposed to be there as well, hopefully they both show that would be very nice.

Well I went to the Vancouver Sci-Fi Convention today I volunteered for 5 hours straight at the registration desk. The 2 gentlemen I worked with were so sweet, ! They were having trouble getting proper service from the hotel staff we waited over 2 hours for the 2nd registration table . I roamed around for 4 hours I checked out the dealer’s room there was one table there loaded with Star Wars models and figures apparently the person was selling it because he had gone through a divorce and never wanted to see any of it again and was getting rid of all of it! Then I checked out the games room and had 2 very nice people explain for over an hour all about Dungeons and Dragons and live action games, it really astounds me how imaginative some people can be. I’m afraid I couldn’t really get into the filking, and I was really disappointed that I missed spying on the furies . I spent another hour chatting with the guys who were doing model building and creatures very cool. There was a gentlemen there from NASA there apparently was a convention of their’s right next door so he popped in for awhile and hung out in the hospitality room yakking. I have never met anyone who liked Sci-Fi before in real life nor have I ever been to a convention before so it was a very interesting experience for me to be surrounded by them and they sure are an interesting bunch ! I got a hug from one of the men I worked with at the registration desk he actually asked if he could give me a hug LOL! Never had anyone ask before, he thanked me profusely the whole time I was there for various reasons. The organizer of the event asked me to become one of the organizers for next year which was flattering but I don’t know if I’m up to taking that on. Tomorrow is the costume contest, talent show, and dance kind of curious about that but they also have a thing on Farscape, Revenge of the Sith, a bunch of stuff about Canada in space, some things on costuming and gaming I’m curious about so I don’t know how much volunteering I will manage to accomplish tomorrow.

I didn't get to go Sat Chris went missing for 24 hrs and had me and all his friends in a tizzy. I went today though and got to see the BSG panel for 2 hours and got to chat with Lisa who organized it(for almost an hour) she is great! and got to meet Aaron . I took a few pictures. They had Ray Lai there and Eric chu and they brought some of their work WOW! and Alonso Oyarzun who plays Crewman Specialist Socinus who was terribly sick but was nice enough to come anyways. I'll write a more detailed account later and post it here. I will send the pics to one of the mods and have them post a few too.

Just do pictures1, pictures2, pictures3,.......

For some reason, there must be a need for the post to be 'unique'.

I was only going to get to see any vipers if we had organized a studio tour but that didn't happen I would have wet my pants if I could have seen an original viper!! I was telling Martok that my hands would have shaken and my knees gone weak!

This comment is in reference to a post by Warrior which was subsequently removed. That's why it doesn't make any sense. apologies
