Rowan, shingstar, ernie90125 - thanks!

saintg,

Yes, you were about 4 rows in front of me on the same side of the room. I didn't neccessarily mean that he was attacking or rude, but my overall impression was of a very positive, passionate, personable person who looked to have had a rough morning. And who doesn't occassionally? But, I too agreed with your question/opinion. CGI, while cheap and versatile, still lacks the "realness" of models. And, I noticed quiet a few CGI-esque ships in the trailer as well. But your right, model FX from the "star wars" era of effects definately give a brighter feel to things - more detail etc. Richard had the right idea, models with CGI - only again, the technology still has a few baby steps to go before it will be there.

DG Production/Dean - yes, I figured the hotel screwed you at the last minute since it looked like they dropped off that stuff 15 minutes before we walked in the door etc. You deifinatly should get some compensation for the inconvenience as the trailer is a central part of the convention - and they need to understand that. Hell, if I had known while sitting there for 20 minutes about the sound, I would have ran home and gotten an amp and two speakers. But, like I said, I saw what I wanted to see and was happy all day long after - Thanks.

I believe we were all on the right side on the room facing the screen. I believe I know what you guys all look like since a girl came in, walked to the left side of the room and sat down only to notice someone she knew in the very first row, right side and moved over their to talk to them. Was that you guys? Also, another girl in the front row was helping with the projecter dillema. Again, you guys?

Girl helping with projector was Lady Immortal, the girl that moved up front was me (we were also the ones that giggled when Richard asked about "stories about meeting him" or some such thing; we'd all gone to dinner with him the night before. Plutonium: this still doesn't help me know who you are, though!
