the mini series sucks SO SAY WE ALL!!!
the Sci fi channel, Ron Moore and everyone involved should be ashamed of the
load of crap they just aired. what were they thinking? the writing, acting, set and costume design were absolutely awful.
yes im a fan of the original series, ill be buying the dvds as soon as i have the cash, but... i didnt follow the production of the revival and i gave it a chance despite the internet chatter over the past year. if the BG name was not attached to this dreck would it have ever aired? i .m simply dumbstruck!
on just a basic production level wouldnt it have been more cost effective to us the original designs and score? i thought it was kind of a cool idea to change the sex of some of the characters, but that was the only interesting thing they did. the only slightly likeable character was "Apollo", uh i mean Lee. every other character was just nasty and and unsympathetic. the new president has cancer, so friggin what! billions of people have been slaughtered - not that we were given any sense of that, and she's upset cause she might die. i kept hoping the cylons would finally show up and finish the job. there was so much wrong with this miniseries, i cant list it all here. i am in shock that anyone could think otherwise.
i sincerely hope that this travesty doesnt put the nail in the coffin of BG for good.
it seems from my skimming of the psots here that there is a possibility of some other revival - i really hope so.
