Default Brock Peters dies of cancer

Gang,

Brock Peters, known as Chief Opposer Solon in "Murder On The Rising Star" and as Admiral Carwright in two Star Trek movies died at 78 of pancreatic cancer.

Story follows:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050823/...t_brock_peters

One of my favorite lines in the Star Trek movies is in "The Undiscovered Country". Near the beginning of the movie, Spock on his own accord, announces that the Enterprise will be on a peace mission with the Klingons.

Admiral Cartwright - "I don't know whether to congratulate you or not Jim"

McCoy - "I wouldn't"

A great loss.

And, he said "Jim", not "Captain".

One of his little-known roles was that of the voice of Darth Vader in the NPR radio conversion of Star Wars & Empire Strikes Back. He did an excellent job of it. He will be missed.
