There is something that I could use some help with. I'm looking for a free downloadable mesh of an aircraft support vehicle, the kind that can tow aircraft. If anyone can point me in the right direction on this one, I'd appreciate it.

The barrier doors look quite similar to the ones from SW.
I really like these shots. A lot of people post images of space battles, many of which as stunning.
But these are very different to that, still BSG, but the skill and detail make your shots stand out from the crowd. I do hope you will animate them to bring the hanger bay to life.
These images are a refreshing change.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm trying to render an animation now of a viper landing in the bay, but it'll take a while.

Ok, here's the first animation using the bay, it's not perfect, and it's not meant to be, but here it is, so enjoy!

Tiny details like Fire Extinguishers.
The lifts (for people) are often seen. As was a Decomtanination chamber in one episodes.
How about an alternate version showing damage after one of the many times a Cylon Raider flew(firing) into the bay ?
Other animations would be good. Just some quick ideas off the top of my head.

On aircraft carriers, don't they have a cable to catch the landing gear, and some kind of net that pops out of the deck to catch it if it's going to fast?

I always thought the fuel would be stored on the upper levels .. on the side close to the main ship .. and they inturn are feed by the Full productions cell near the engines ..

Based on your drawing, I thought the same thing, that's why I didn't put them in..

In many ways it up to the person what! they would think the internal layout could be.. There could be small secondary / substaions in level 3 .

Taranis....I loved the animation. I hope you will take it further ?
I also agree with your sentiment about its up to a person what. SilentBob has captured the style and character of the landing bay...I'm sure anything he includes will not detract from that....

I could suggest some things that haven't been done yet......the Landram, The Rising Star, the Prison Barge, just to name 3.
Can't wait to see what you're planning though.

Here are the doors that separate the landing bay and the launch bays. I caught site of what they looked like in Hand Of God and whipped up a quick texture. Kinda reminds me of aluminium garage doors.

Currently rendering scene 1 of a new animation that i'm calling "A Shuttle Odyssey - A Trip Through The Landing Bay", which will follow a colonial shuttle's trip through the landing bay from the shuttle elevator in the front, through the barrier doors, and finally to the back, where it will launch. This way, i'll be able to animate just about all of the moving parts of the landing bay. Scene 1 is the shuttle coming down the elevator.
In the attached pic, the Viper on the very right is taxiing through the bay as the shuttle is being lowered, it will cross the screen.
