Default Greetings From Earth

Hi,
In this case the novel was far superior to the episode. In the novel when Starbuck goes into the city he finds life. He encounters a gang led by a girl named Queenie. This was omitted from the TV episode.

Regards,
Paul

Default The Novel

I found Ron Goulart, the author of this novelization, completely unable to write Strarbuck's character at all. Unfortunately this spoils a lot of the rest of the novel as his use of un-Starbuck like phrases/words and being continually described smoking really irritates. And why do so many of the minor characters sound like rfugees from an Alias Smith and jones script. The situation doesn't improve in The Lomg Patrol as we meet anopther woman with psychic powers and more minior characters adopting wild west speech.

Sorry, Mr Goulart couldn't get it right in the above aspects, IMHO.

Agreed, the man couldn't write dialogue as well as Thurston or Hatch and his collaborators, for that matter.
