Peter, I thought of The Hand of God too! It wasn't just that because the scene ended with the two couples looking from a tiny enclosed place with windows all around out on a new empty world, it was the way I felt watching it. My feeling was similar, although not nearly as intense, as when I originally watched The Hand of God!
In other words, I was really impressed!

Over the weeks I've become invested in the characters. I liked how Miles's sister was at odds with him and then came to be closer to him and defend him against her "friends".

I liked how Miles leapt off the ferry to search for his girlfriend and how Laura went back for Rich, they were great "hero" moments.

That was good wasn't it? Definitely characters worth investing in and a show worth keeping around....
