3d Schematics: Battlestar Galactica
Sorry, I posted this the other day on the Colonial One thread. Several of you may have missed it.
>> Remember, these are shots/orthos that were posted online that I have just put together...
... I'm still working on the Viper, Shuttle, Raptor, and others
Good Hunting!

Awesome stuff Gideon, those are the images I am using to build the Galactica.
The dimentions are great, tho I am building mine at a quarter inch scale. I started off building it at 4500 feet, but it was heck trying to manuver the light's and cameras around.

Hahahaaaa... that's good, man. You'll need a rigging shuttle or a skitter first, if you plan on building it to that scale, right!
I'm glad you chose a smaller scale!
Thanks for the edification! Even though I didn't do the models themselves, it still took time to mess with sizing, placement, logos, etc. It's fun though!

I believe it . . as long as you had fun doing it that's what the buzz is about.

Someone did.
I only touched up the ship orthos and put them in the schematic layouts. Yes it took a while, but not nearly as long as the one who did the CGI models.
Everyone, should I do one of the Cylon Raider like this?

Bijou -
CF is only considered "remake free" in terms of discussing the new show.
Since our focus was re-directed towards artwork, we didn't want to discourage the creative efforts being put forth. There have been some extremely talented artists (inlcuding Gideon) that have contributed some excellent TNS-based artwork.
Keep up the terrific work folks!
Bryan

Looks very impressive thanks to the many details. However you might want to consider to include a scale-bar.

Still waiting on the upper echelon (?) on the views of the Peggy, Black-bird viper, and the Vmk7 CGI's. Until then, there isn't much I can do on those. Thanks for the comments though, I have not forgotten... just been detained a little.
I have put up a small site for these type schematics now:
Gideon's Drafting Tablet
There are other schems up there now and will be more as time permits.
Happy Hunting!!
