Tasty and cool summer treat...
Hey all,
My mom just game me a neat recipe which is really cool (pun intended ). And it's quick, cheap and easy too!
Ingredients
========
Strawberry sherbet
Sprite soda
Recipe
=====
Stick a couple 3 scoops of yummy strawberry sherbet in a tall glass.
Add some sprite (about a half a cup)
Stir for a sec' (optional - makes it more FIZZY)
Sip it down afore the bubbles burst!!!

MUFFIT !!!
That sounds delicious!
Reminds me of my simple concoctions with Kool-Aid...just add a little Sprite to whatever Kool-Aid you like and you have instant flavor with a fizz!

Hi Archangel and BST!
Do you remember something called "Fizzies" by any chance? Might be a bit before your time
In the late 50's, when I was but a waddling cabbage, they had these neat little colored tablets not unlike Alka Seltzer. You plopped one in a small glass of water and presto, sheer delight for a child . It turned plain water into a fruit flavored carbonated drink (think liquid pop rocks). I remember grape, don't know if there were any other flavors. My mom never bought them, but my friend's mom up the street did, so once in a great while I got to have some.
It was almost as much fun just to watch the tablet magically effervesce as it was to taste its yumminess

Never tried that, Muffit but, it sounds interesting.
Hmm....mechanical daggit "springs from cabbage patch". That might provide some interesting cross-over possibilities for our literary-minded folks!

MY mom used to make "Purple Cows" for us, In a tall glass you put in a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream, a little grape juice, then fill the glass the rest of the way with grape soda. Amazingly delicious.

I remember my mom talking about them. She still talks about them today every so often.
