Yipee! Flight of the Navigator Comes to DVD!!!
I am so jazzed! I have been following Disney's release schedule for years, and there was NO sign of Flight of the Navigator to be found! Not in 2003 or 2004. And last night I got the surprise of the year, June will see the release of this WONDERFUL family SciFi feast! You can even preorder now (for an incredibly low $13!!!).

I was in, something like, sixth grade when that movie was out. Talk about a flashback

Hi Cranky1c! Welcome to the Fleets! Yeah, it's been a while, but they don't make 'em like that anymore. It's also a chance to see the now famous Sarah Jessica Parker as an undiscovered teen.
Thanks for the reply

That's right.... I had totally forgotton.
It's hard to imagine that these movies, that were a source of such excitement in our younger years, are now basically relics.
The one thing I don't like about getting older....so far....
Now that you've put this bug in my ear I'll have to look and see if "The Last Starfighter" is out on DVD...

It's so odd, I thought seeing those old CG shots would seem silly. But just the opposite. The Last Starfighter has an enduring charm, not unlike the way we view Mr. Harryhausen's works today. Good Sci Fi is never dated. Good Sci Fi is forever.
