Admittedly the following is propaganda but one has to remember the reader they are writing for. I’m not trying to open up some hot political debate here…just a letter to get more negative vibes out there about the mini-series. Truth is this letter may not be read and has much less of a chance being discussed.
Subject: Socialist Leftists Do What the Cylons Couldn’t Destroy Battlestar Galactica

I know you don’t watch a lot of TV or go to the movies much so you may not remember the science fiction classic Battlestar Galactica, I bet some on your staff do. Battlestar Galactica had a very Reagan message of peace through strength during the height of the Carter administration. It also had a strong anti-Communist message, speaking about the evil villains: the Cylons, Lorne Greene’s character says, “they hate humans with every fiber of their being! Because we love freedom, cherish independence…to feel, to question. To them that is an alien way of existing they will never accept” The alien created evil robot Cylons we’re such a thinly veiled representation of the Evil Empire that the USSR would not air it. Battlestar Galactica was a family friendly adventure based on the Biblical Exodus story.
Fast forward 25 years, instead of giving fans a continuation of the story we clamored for with letters and pocket books by purchasing merchandise etc. Liberal Hollywood decides to remake this classic with the Blame America Theme. The evil Cylons are no longer created by an alien race, now they are created by the humans (America) they are abused by their arrogant capitalist creators. They find religion and commit “Jihad” on the humans destroying their civilization. Greene’s character now portrayed by the Leftist Edward James Olmos basically tells his defeated military “it was our fault”. No longer the family friendly adventure this new Battlestar Galactica is over sexed and sprinkled with scenes disrespecting the military such as subordinates punching out commanding officers.
What is Hollywood thinking, none of us asked for this? There are two people to blame for this, the admitted liberal writer Ronald D. Moore and the widely loathed Sci-Fi Channel president Bonnie Hammer.
Many of your listeners will be caught by the bait and switch tactics of the Sci-Fi Channel’s promos. Expecting to see the story they remember instead they will see Liberal Hollywood Blame America tripe.
