Member of the Month (and Year) Award
Greetings, folks.
Certainly a lot has been happening around here lately, with too much of it on the negative side of things.
However, the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train. Rather, it is the shining light of a Member of the Month!
The Admins and Moderators will be selecting a member that has shown what being a member here is all about. A member that is constantly in good standing with all of the members and shows no ill towards any members.
A member that represents what Fleets is all about- Fun while discussing a television show. A person that has a positive outlook.
This person will be honored with a graphic award with their handle on it and placed on a forthcoming page entiled Honored Members.
This member will also grace our home page (not the cover-entry page, but the site's home page) above the Welcome message.
Could it be YOU? Stay tuned.

If someone wins the member of the year award, will they receive a badge beneath their avatar ? Perhaps the month one could stay there for a month, but the year one could be permanent ?

All will be shown with the announced first winner.
I should mention, however, Admins and Mods are not eligible.
See... this particular award is chosen BY the Mods and Admins.
...and Muffit is still an Admin here.
BUT...
In addition to the Member of the Month and the Website award, there will be a third award that is still being worked out that will involve the members nominating and choosing. Because of the number of folks they'll be able to choose from, this award will only be bi-monthly.
