Re: Found this on the net: 'Razor Raider'
I liked the game version better when the wings were extended further forward. I think that would have better connected with the GINO version as well in Razor.
Having said that, I thought they did a terrible job with the raiders in Razor and the machinegun elements really didn't seem to fit with the rest of the concept at all. I understand why they couldn't go with lasers given the other GINO changes but this could have still worked well with some sort of heavy cannon, like a 120mm gun firing large shells than the machineguns throughout the rest of the show. That would have still kept the basic theme, made them a little different, and married them closer to the original series since the rounds could still "glow" when they were fired and it was common in the original series for the laser shots to explode near the vipers.
(They should hire me as a a production designer!)

What are the clearance codes again for an automated landing?
Oh yeah, there aren't any. Permission is needed in order to land.

Technical comment. Cannon shells or machine guns will not work at delta vees of 2000+ meters/second. It has to be rockets, mass drivers, or particle beams or nothing in space.
That was another aspect about that figment of an alternate reality nightmare, that stank.
Like the raider though. It actually could work. Just with NPACS.

Really a cool design, looks more threatening then the original version.
It also seems to be larger.

love thos model, I have nothing bad to say about the new model, but the old one has a very deep and cool curved design from the 80's. love it!

Here are some shots of the model that came out from Diamond Select a couple years back, including a ventral view. Got the model myself - it's quite well done.
