Coffe or Tea?
are you a coffee or tea lover?
I love my coffee. My sweetie knows not to mess with me until after I have had my coffee. Otherwise its grouch city in response!

Neither. Well, tea sometimes. And I love the smell of coffee brewing, I just can't stand the taste.
Give me a cup of good hot cocoa (the stuff made with milk). Or a Coke if I need caffeine.

I like both, but would rather have tea. Coffee is bitter and I use way too much sugar and flavor cream in it just to make it easier to drink. I drink either one to wind down at night.
Diet Pepsi or Diet coke is more my speed in the morning,
but Sometimes a good old Mt. Dew if I can't wake up!

I have gotten to like Bigelow's teas as something warm to sip during cold winter days, mostly decaf except on a few mornings. My favorite tea of all was by a company called Old San Francisco Tea Company, which I guess is not around any more. It came as raw leaves and spices in a brown paper bag, and was soooooooooo strong! It was the sweetest, tastiest tea I have ever had, even if it was a bit of work to brew and separate it. It was the kind of drink you could barely sip it was so strong, but the flavor was out of this world.
Sure wish I could find it again... (it was orange, cinnamon, and something else, perhaps cloves, I'm not sure...)
Once in a while I will have coffee, which I like too. Makes a good substitute for breakfast, although I rarely have it cuz it sometimes makes me feel yucky.

Tea, but only when I'm sick.
I've never liked Coffee or Tea regularly. I drink Diet Pepsi like it's water for my caffeine fix.

Tea for me...
It would have to be tea for me... When I was very young, my mom would take out her china tea pot, cups and saucers and make tea for me and my brother and sister. I've loved a good cup of tea ever since. I tried my first cup of coffee when I was 16. I found it so bitter that I would have to add so much sugar and milk just to make it drinkable (for me anyway).
I am still a tea lover and have lots of different varieties in the cubby at home, however I do go to Starbuck's and have a Latte and a muffin once every few months.

I love it all, but I have to be in a mood for any of it. In the morning I'll have cocoa at work and at a restruant I'll have coffee. At home I have tea on the weekend mornings. I love Earl Grey with real cream and sugar......ummm

I like Earl Grey too Em, always thought it was interesting Picard liked it. I also like Constant Comment alot.
In the summer I like to make home made ice tea from Litpon regular tea, and add fresh cut lemons and oranges to the pitcher. Yum.

I'd say I'm mostly a coffee person - a cup in the morning to wake me up (I stopped drinking it last thing in the evening a few years ago - I need my sleep!)
If I'm on my travels, I'd stop off in a coffee bar (usually Starbucks, but I also like Cafe Nero & Coffee Republic) for a mocha coffee - In the summer months I love the iced coffees they serve. Also, at conventions, the coffee gives me a good start to the day, and keeps me going!
As for tea, I only seem to drink it cold at the moment ('Lipton Ice Tea' - I think you may know it as 'Liptonice'?), mainly the mango and peach flavours. But I did try a new drink from Tetley Tea in London last year, which mixes tea with other fruit flavours - great stuff - but I can't find it anywhere where I live (the Midlands)?!
By your command,

Ian,
Got a question for you --
My preference for Iced Tea is to add water to the brewed tea to "weaken" it a bit. (Not sure if this is the same for everyone or just me.)
Anyway, with this in mind, how does one make Iced Coffee? Is it just brewed coffee, with ice added, or does one "weaken" it with water and then, add the ice?
Thanks,
BST

BST, at the moment I just buy the Ice Tea in bottles, but for coffee, I have read of two methods - hot and cold (I think the coffee shops use the a form of hot method) -
For hot, you would brew the coffee slightly stronger than normal (but not double strength), then leave to cool and store in the refridgerator, to be served over ice. With the cold method, you would steep the ground coffee in cold water, then drain and store the liquid in the fridge as above, but it would need diluting.
More info at http://www.greenmountaincoffee.com/l...ced_coffee.htm
I hope this is of help,

I like making my own ice tea in the summer. Currently as far as teas go I am into the British and Irish blends. (Keeping up with a part of my ancestry)

Black coffee in the morning. Nothing else will do. Unsweetened iced tea the rest of the day.
It may be -20 outside but I'll still have a glass of iced tea.

My mother is welsh, need I say more. I have never had a cup of coffee in my life, a sip or two as a teenager and one or two more recently but tha's it . Now tea on the other hand. I like orange peekoe, very strong (sometimes two bags in one cup) but then I like 2 tablespoons of sugar Yup you read that corectly, and of course milk, oh yes it must be piping hot! and anywhere from 2 to 6 a day Ack! that really sounds awful when I read that, maybe I should cut back...

I have an odd story about coffee. I was never a big drinker but during freshman college days I would make a deadly brew. I usually didn't sleep monday nights cause of my I always had a physics labs due the next day. And thursday nights were often without sleep cause I had a quiz every friday morning. So by the time that quiz came around, I was pretty exhausted. So I would put three tablespoons of instant coffee in each cup, and two tablespoons of sugar. That would give me about an hour and a half before I got sick from the coffee. And that lasted pretty much for 4 quarters of classes.
So now I tend to stay away from the stuff! I love the smell still. But rarely drink it now unless I need to.
Not much for teas. Though for a year I was on a diet snapple binge cause the local store would sell them by the crate, that's about 24 bottles at 50 cents a pop. Pretty dang good! And they were only about 1 calorie each!!!
But they stopped selling them!

This is going to sound real strange but its true. When my father was a long haul trucker I used to go on trips with him. I loved it. If I had a cup of coffee before I went to sleep after a long day it would put me right out instead of keeping me awake.
Here's something to laugh about. Here is why I never drink coffee at my sister's house. My brother in law loves the instant crud. Back when I was a freshman in high school I stayed over their place one night so they could go out. I had finals the next morning so my brother in law woke me up so I could get ready for my sister to drop me off for the exams. Well I made the mistake of accepting offer of a cup of coffee from my brother in law. One sip and I was instantly wired. He makes his strong and it has the consistency of mud! After that one time it was no more coffee at their place!
