I like that Background.

Has a look I been trying to figure out how to make.

Mind me asking how and what you used to make it?

I have seen similar looking BG's and also seen someone's VFX breakdown
on this, but it was not enough to actually see what and how it was done.

I think maybe it involves several layer passes, and then somehow work them in PS or AE. Doing PS on Seq's or video I have never done. Just so much to know and try and learn...

Randal R.

You'd be surprised how I made that background

I took a photo of storm clouds with holes, letting the blue sky through, around sunset which caused the reddish coloring on part of it.

I then flipped the image, adjusted the colors and adjusted the contrast like crazy. I then textured it onto a "nebula" mesh I have, with transparency applied.

Default Re: The Defender

it looks great,,

would like to make something like that, preferebly 3d.
But by the same token I would like to texture one also.

If I really spent time, tweeking, I might be able to using pyroclusters in C4d.

-If you have ever seen one, I believe there is actually one in a BSG TOS episode.
I also love the explosions that have the hue cycle, I have tried or figured that out yet either,
would love to try that on Pyros, be awesome.

cuz PS and AE aint really my bag.I have forgotten most of what I knew in PS
anyway, had to make room for all the new data input for c4d ....so
naturally my brain deletes the older stuff...

Thanks.

From Colonial Fleets parent site - http://www.3dgladiators.com/tutorial...ace-tut-03.htm

I uploaded those a while back. They're by Kier Darby, and are pretty old, but still effective and work in any version of Lightwave.
