Costuming
As a costumer myself, I am always interested to see how many others are there out there and what kind of costumes you have. Many people here know I am part of the Rebel Legion and the 501st costuming groups. I am starting this thread to see how many out there costume and what kinds of costumes do you have or are in the works.
I'll start!
2 jedi costumes
Imperial Royal Guard
Xwing pilot suit with helmet
Lessa from the Dragons of Pern book series with a Gold Dragon
in the works - (or atleast on the drawing board)
a faierie costume
Endor trooper costume from Return of the Jedi
Elf archer from the battle of Helm's deep (the scene when they come marching in....)
Biker Scout from Return of the Jedi
EpIII hand maiden costume (got a picture from Star Wars Insider
)
I know some of you wear costumes. And I know of atleast one other member here that is in the 501st. ( you know who you are... ) And one in the Rebel Legion!!
So please post! I would love to hear other costuming ideas and who knows - maybe we can help each other out!!!
Kristi

no, not par tof the Rebel Legion. We dress up got Cons and such. As for my saber prop, the guy who owns the local comic store here makes them. If I can get to a scanner, I'll scan it.
The Visitor costume is going to take some time. I'l having trouble finding the boots in my size.

The Dark Side...
In the hopes that you mean me, kristi, yes, I am a member of the 501st. For Star Wars, I have the following uniforms:
Stormtrooper
At-At walker pilot
Imperial Security Bureau Imp. Officer (off-white tunic)
Imperial Crewman (grey jumpsuit brigade)
and Kristi has seen my Darth Vader lightsaber hilt actually made with a Heiland flash gun...
as for BSG, I have:
complete Warrior outfit (w/Sidi boots)
dress uniform w/cape and medallion
blue bridge officer uniform

Charybdis!!!!!! you better believe you are the other 501st member that I was talking about! er uhm
Yeah his saber hilt is awesome! He was nice enough to let me use it one year at Dragoncon. Since then my weapons of choice are lightech and saberworks sabers.
I haven't seen your bridge officer uniform yet. Got any pics? And I didn't know you had the Imp security officer either. Send them to me if you have pics!
Spike - I would love to see the lightsaber you have! I am always shocked to see the talent out there when people make their own. (we don't want to see what happens when me and electronics combine...eeek!)
And I stand corrected I know of 2 others that are in the Rebel Legion for certain. Em and Holodoc.
Any one else want to post about their costumes??
Kristi

I belong to KAG and SFI... currently. *L* I did, at one time, belong to CCOSMAF (California Costumers Mafia).
And, of course, I do the Klingon thang... sometimes with ridges... sometimes TOS style.
Also, Renaissance garb...
Also, just futuristic whatevercatchesmyfancy stuff to wear around at Cons. Not any particular genre. I'm wanting to do a Bab-5 style civilian thing right now... but my sewing machine died.
So right now, I am non-costumer.... *sniff*

I have some material that I can use to do an original series Star Trek klingon top, but just need to find a patern that I can use in order to make it though.
I need to work on my Jedi one a little more though to make it better before attempting doing klingon right now.

I know ya are helping me out with it. It just a matter of trying to figure out what we will be able to come up with for me in time for DragonCon this year.
