I've heard the Snape reference in many discussions on another board, by European women, particularly from the U.K. From what I deduced, Alan Rickman, whom the women I reference are infatuated with, played or plays a character named Snape in a British movie series or TV series. That's all I know.

Egads, Sci-fi people!
Professor Snape is a character in the Harry Potter books, and is played in the movies by Alan Rickman.
*walks away rolling eyes and sighing*
