Intro for my Battlestar Galacta CG fanfilm.

Hello there,

Some of you know me from 3dGladiators & some of you don't.

I have no clue if I'm posting this in the right place or not but I figured I'd give it a go and see what happens.

First off - I apologize to the artists whos meshes appear in this clip.
There are no opening credits on this and in the 'final' edit I have everybody credited and the meshes they've made.

Those of you who know me from the other site know I will be crediting the mesh building artists in the opening credits of my upcoming projects.

I had not planned on sharing this until the project was finished but after a bit of a conversation I had with somebody today I thought perhaps it might be good time.

I am also sorry for 'tagging' it with a nasty 'DEMO' but it is the demo footage. LOL! When the project is finished I will make my intro footage available to anybody who wants to use it with their project as a way of giving back to a community who's well I have drank deeply from.

On a side note - I am an animation studio of ONE and I've been working on a 45 minute long BSG short (this is the demo of the opeing for that project) film since Oct 06 and I've put it on the back burner for now. The reason is that I am currently working on a series of 5 minute episodes (6 in all) for Dan over at BattlestarFanFilms.com and I think the story is much stronger and that more of you will enjoy it than the other one I was working on.

Enough of my yacking... I hope you guys enjoy this, thank you for sharing your meshes and I promise everybody who deserves it will be credited in my final edit.

There are a few bugs in this version that will be weeded out in the final one.
When I made this I had only been using Carrara Pro 6 for about a month, perhaps two.

The biggest mistake is the Colonial Movers ship is flying backward.

Neither did I until after a very (and I mean very) lenghty rendertime in Lighwave. After I saw the backward ship I just about fainted.

I figure I'll get it right next time.

I can't help but wonder now if that might be your Celestra in the fleet shot.
It was so long ago I did this that I can't remember much about it.
