Default My Cylon Raider and basestar in motion

Well, after two days, I finally got the basestar finalized. It took me almost two restarts to do it. I tried upping the polygon count on the basestar to make it look more like the real thing, but it was just too much for iClone 3.2 PRO, so I had to go back to texture mapping. However, this time around, the ship still looks MUCH better than my first attempt.

So, to show off my Cylon Raider and my new basestar, here's a little animation. The harsh lighting in space kinda helps the effect.

This works. It has a style of its own, it doesn't look like 'my computer program couldn't manage it', but rather that its meant to be like that by design. I'm not too keen on the Basestar's lights, they look stuck on. Overall, as a test sequence, it has all the right ingredients.

I'm glad that the ship looks good on an indiginous level.

BWA HA HA! And you're right, the lights do look a little "stuck on". (That's 'coz they are. LOL!) Good call.

I like the toon-shaded look you've got working here Martok, because its something that's unique at the moment in osBSG fanfilms, we've not had it before, and its working for you.

Please keep up updated on how things develop.........

Thanks, Ernie. I hope the uniqueness of this look continues then.

I love it when things happen by "accidental necessity", such as the look of this is coming along.

UPDATE:
I am working on the Galactica right now, and I can tell you, she'll look recognizable, but she's gonna definitely look different (not TNS Galactica different, but definitely different in the way certain shapes have come together...especially the nose/bridge section...the landing arms oughtta look pretty good though).

Would make the ship seem a bit faster, wouldn't it?

Glad you liked it though.
