New Here: Hello All :)
Hello all,
I've just come aboard and thought I would say 'Hi'.
I've been a fan of BSG for about five yahren, since the Sci Fi channel repeated it. show. It was story I got into straight away, and something I looked forward to watching the next day. I recently bought the box set, so I am now enjoying the series again.

Atlantia -
I would like to say welcome! If you have any questions regarding the forum please let us know.
As Breea said, it's always nice to see new faces. I hope you enjoy yourself here.
So, you've been a fan of the original series for only 5 years? If you don't mind my asking, how old are you and what other sci fi shows catch your interest?
Just being my old, inquisitive self....
Welcome to Fleets!

Thank you for welcoming me to Colonial Fleets, Taranis, BRG, Breea, Gemini and Titon.
If I do think of questions to ask, I'll certainly post them.
This seems like a fab and friendly place.
To answer your questions, Gemini: I was late getting into BSG, but better late than never I guess. I'm 36, so I remember BSG when it was on TV at the time, but for some strange reason, I didn't watch it back then.
As for my other favourite sci fi shows, well I love, Doctor Who, Flash Gordon (Original series with Buster Crabbe), Quantumn Leap and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Otherwise known as "Galactica In Name Only." Perhaps rightly so.
Never having watched the original, I'm not sure whether the new one is better, but it's certainly different.
Welcome to the Fleets, Atlantia.

Hi, Atlantia,
Welcome to Fleets.
As a pommy immigrant to Australia I was lucky enough to see DrWho in both places, and have fond and very early memories of being terrified/fascinated by the Daleks from an early age. Biggest regret was having to leave lots of my toys behind, and the tin dalek and the thunderbirds toys were among them!!
Thought the newest version was terrific and am hanging out for its resumption in December...not been anticipating the return of a SciFi show so much for a long time!!
Cheers,
Lara

Welcome to the Fleets. Theres so much to see and so many people to meet. Your gonna love it here, they are so friendly, and they do care for your voice here, and you may just find you talk to people that do wonderful (an in some cases so-so) things that impace BSG in general. So strap in, and prepare to launch!

It was great stuff, Taranis, all the Flash Gordon stories. Not sure what this new film is going to be like though, can only wait and see, I guess. I'm a bit Dubious about Demi Moores other half playing the role also! Oh well, we've still got some other great Flash Gordon to watch if it turns out to be a disappointment.

Tin Dalek sounds fab. My sister used to have 2 Daleks, a talking one, and one that kind of went around in cricles with a light flashing on top of it's head. I know daleks didn't exactly go around in cirlces like that, but it was still a pretty good toy.
I was in Australia a few years ago, when they were airing the oringal series of Doctor Who, so I got to see some Billy Hartnell. Some of them are wonderful stories I think, but it's a shame so many old DW episodes were destroyed.

Am kinda new myself but since I am past my 5th Post I think it is safe to tell you "WELCOME ABOARD!"
From just my short time here I have found everyone very friendly and have come across a lot of great information on BSG. Can't wait till I have a little time on my hands to get in to some of the fan written stories and to go through the art galleries.
Again, Welcome Aboard!

Also belated greetings, but considering I had close to two years gap between posts before this week, that's really not too bad

I've been looking at the art galleries, when I have access to broadband. Some fantastic stuff there! I haven't read any of the fan fic yet, but hope to soon.

I'm astounded at the artistic and literary talent who reside at this little corner of the universe. Methinks you're going to be busy for quite some time.
