Like Warrior said, look no further than the Gallery.

Here's the link to the wing that we've dedicated to Steve:

Enjoy!

Six pages in & I have great respect for his amazing talent.
What a loss.
What a gain for us that he was here.

That, sir, says it all.

This site wouldn't be here if not for people like SteveW.

Him, Titon and many more that were here in the beginning, to be followed throughout the years by others, such as yourself.

It's fandoms gain.

And a tragic loss that we have to lose people like Steve.

He is dearly missed.

Don't exclude yourself from that group, sir.

Without your magnificent talents, this place would not exist.

I'm not excluding myself. What I am saying is that I would never have built this place if not for them.

Recently a member of another forum was looking for one of Steve´s models and with the help of ernie90125 I was able to help this other cgi user..

Steve´s work is still sought and admired by many, the best tribute too any artist, and Steve was one of the most giving of them I have ever known, and one of the core of CFs artist group, of whom I consider myself a part off.

Its hard to fathom that its been over 4 years since he passed on...

When I was looking for the model I came across this thread and bang... sense of loss for this person I never met face to face.. but we talk plenty via PM and E-mail.

I was happy to call him friend and he would call me youngster... although I was over 30 at the time..

In short when I think of Stevew, I smile and remember all the advise and help he gave to a beginner.

Wow where did that come from?.

From the heart, my friend.

Time never truly removes the pain of loss but, it does make it easier to deal with.

Steve was a truly nice guy. I remember that about him far more than his models. Just a decent fellow all around.

Hopefully it will be a long time before we put any more names on the wall next to his.

All my best,

Russell

I was watching a show about the latest Mars Rover. When they were using some computer images of the rover's staging prior to landing, it gave me a pang knowing Steve could have been on the team generating those images at JPL, had they been done a few years earlier.

A copy of the message posted by Ger arrived in my mailbox. Yes... four years have been passed, and isn´t that easy to deal with the loss.
Talking about meshes, I still have all the ones that Steve shared. My plan was to convert them for 3dsmax and do a release as a homage, but I keep running without enough freetime in my hands. Let´s see if I can do at least one conversion before this year ends...

I have no idea what drew me to this thread today... but here I am, thinking of you, Steve.

If I can get access to my models on my other PC, I'll do some images of your models.

Until then, keep the sky bright, my friend.

It's crazy how many years has passed already since we last talked Steve.

Like the old REO song "live for every moment" you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Full turbo's ahead!

It's been over 11 years since we lost Steve and, after reading through the posts on this thread, it feels like it just happened yesterday.
