Halloween Costumes
With Halloween coming up I thought we could discuss our most outrageous or favorite costumes of the past.
My favorite costume was in my freshman year in high school when a former friend and I went out with her mother dressed as nuns and her mother went as a baby. My friend and I were Sisters Virtue and Vice. Dawn was the normal nun as Sister Virtue and I was the pregnant nun, Sister Vice.

After Watching ET, one summer, I couldnt resist it... I had to make my own Yoda costume....
It failed! I usualy just camp around the house, for the kids to come, with me wearing some combats, and just freak out the callers...

When I was in Reno working for a day care I dressed up as a Klingon one year - complete with ridges and so forth. It was fairly good for an amateur, if I do say so myself (nail buff). Oh, and I won first prize for costumes for the staff costume contest. That was one good costume (if a tad itchy, lol).
I did, however, freak out one of my kids. Poor Ashley, she just couldn't get it through her head that it was me and she wouldn't leave her dad's side. (She hated clowns too. When we had a clown for one of the kid's birthdays I had to take her from the room because she completely freaked out. We went and played with the kids in another room.)

I am my own costume.
(If any of you have seen my Karaoke vids, well, you know whereof I speak)

Dont blame the girl, clowns give me the hee bee jee bees, which under some corcumstances can be quite nice, but not with some creepy guy with pants that stick out and a wierd looking face trying to hug you... hmm come to think of it thats starting to sound like the guys I meet at SciFiCons...
Last year I went as CatWoman, complete with latex cat suit and all, this year I think Im gonna go as a harem girl. I found this awesome chrome plated collar and a satin skirt/halter top set at a garage sale.
Id do the cheerleader thing, but I do that weekly...
I did the schoolgirl thing a couple years back but that stunk, everyone thought I was 12. I hate that, stinks being so little.
Maybe this year I can dress up like a Cylon... naw, Id look like a chrom plated fire hydrant... Id probably end up with some dog visiting me...
I COULD dress up like a GINO'holic, but then Id have to act like an @ss... (Doh did i say that out loud again, I just HAVE to work on that inner dialogue) giggles...
Theres a costume shop over by the mall, maybe I will go look and see what grabs me...

Everyone knows that clowns are evil.
I also made a Klingon costume a few years ago, complete with ridges. I was Yeoman Janice Rand one year, and a table for four another year. Two years ago my husband and I won a costume contest by going as the Kennedys. He was JFK, with head wound and pieces of brain stuck on his suit, and I had the pink suit and pillbox hat, also with blood all over the front of my suit. Definitely in poor taste, but funny. Last year my husband was Dudley Do-Right and I was Nell, with railroad tracks tied to my back.
I love Halloween.

Rail road tracks on your back? That had to be heavy hahahha
Seriously.. wait Im never that serious...
The Kennedys thats so funny... that really is. My gf's got a lady in her office that dressed as Pippy, looked like an emaciated Ronald McDonald... was sad....
I voted for her, but I didnt work there so it didnt count.
I was going to dress up as Michael Moore, but with all that pillow under my shirt Id probably just look like an oompaloompa...

Hmmm...
I was almost Chewbacca one year!
Though, I would have been "slightly" shorter at 5'10". I guess I would have been a younger relative or something.
But my favorite costume was Cyrano de Bergerac! Full musketeer outfit, sword and nose included!
Also [cough], I would like to second Martok's enquiry [cough], for tabbi!

Mine was when I was in my teens...we decorated the house with skulls with candles in them..I dresses up like Mortica Adams...long blck dress...dark hair and put on cornstarch to make my skin even whiter...then turn on a record of moans and groans..chains rattling ..turned off all the lights and waited for the kids...came to the door with a skull in my hand and in a very deep voice asked...
" May I help you?"...that year is the only year I had candy left over...norbody stayed and took any...LOL
Funny thing was these were my neighbors kids..they all knew me and ran home telling tham I was a witch...took me for ever to convience then I wasn't..even longer til they'd let me bebysit them.

Am a Firefighter/EMT by trade..... one Halloween we got called to a possible house fire at a certain address with possible injured persons inside.
We come roaring up to the address Code 3 (lights and sirens) with two Fire Engines & two Cop Cars and go in to find a WILD party going on! Seems the neighbors were pissed at the noise and instead of calling the Cops decided to really shake them up by calling us. (That bad judgement got him the chance to make a $500 "Donation" to the City BTY.)
Anyway, turns out we were the "Hit" of the party! LOL! Seems the rumor is correct that women do dig Firefighters! We all got fed and invited back when our shift was over.
Turned out to be a pretty good Halloween that year after all.

I've never been hugely great at costumes, I think thigs look good, but then my size ends up getting in the way.
And no imagination this year either, I bought a big afro wig and am going as Jan Brady.

this is one of my favorites,,although I didn't do the dressing up..My mom had a day care and we had 25( 2 ) year olds..for Halloween we dressed everybody up as ghosts..took sheets..cut out eyes, nose and mouths...and arm holes...LOL,,we lived on a small street with close neighbors...lined all the kids up and told them to hold hands and walked to the neighbors homes and on the count of..1..2...3..everybody shouted trick or treat..it was a blast.
it was to cute...
