Would be nice...but I'd much rather see events set after NEMESIS, with the U.S.S. Titan, or perhaps the DS9 crew.
But, still, if Nick Meyer directs, I suppose it wont matter which era its set in...its guaranteed to be good.

Do you think Meyer would direct without some level of creative control? Hopefully even Berman and Paramount understands that ST II, IV (co-written by Meyer), and VI were financially the best of the movies.

Aye....agreed about II, IV, and VI.
I guess I've never really had too much of an issue with the whole Berman/Braga thing, although I do understand it.
Many people feel (and perhaps rightly so) that B and B have bastardized the Trek franchise.
As for whether or not the thing posted at IMDB is a rumor, well, I have no reason to suspect that they would post anything based on rumor. From what I gather, iMDB is a very respectable website. But, I will try and keep a close eye on this potential development.
Difficult to see. 
The dark side clouds everything.
(Wrong franchise, I know, but most appropriate.)

I all ready know its not true. Berman said it would be a prequel to Enterprise.
Which will suck any way you handle it.
On the other hand, we said the same thing about Enterprise. And it at least surprised us for a couple of episodes. But in the end, it still sucked.

The last I heard (imdb and various fan sites), It's supposed to take place after the series Enterprise, and focus on the Earth/Romulan War. I think it's a good idea, since that little war has been a mystery since TOS. What happened, how did Earth win, etc. But the only way they could pull it of is a trilogy, and that's where Nick Meyer would excel. If it's just one move, it would be a mafor disappointment. |
