I received my copy on Tuesday. About the only free time I have to enjoy it is while I'm on the go in my truck, and I can already tell it's going to take forever to get through the two CDs--it's just too hard not to re-play practically every track. I knew I was in trouble when I replayed the theme song three times! How sad that so few copies were produced, especially when they sold out so incredibly quickly. There was a lot more money to be made, Intrada!

I know what you mean... Generally, the only free time I have for listening to music is when I'm in my car. I've got the CD in my car player and I've been enjoying it for the past few days. I'm almost done with disk one and then on to disk two. Despite the mono format, it sounds really good on my multi speaker car stereo.

Personally and historically, I've never paid more than 40.00 for a BSG CD set, but that's just me. I did a search of completed auctions for the Volume 2 set and you're smack in the middle. Some have sold for around 40.00, but there was one that sold for 65.00 and another for 75.00, Here's a link to the completed listing results:

You are, after all, one of the original BSG's most avid fans, so I'm sure that shelling out the extra cash will be worth it for you. There's no telling if they will do a second pressing, if at all, so these few CDs that have been showing up on eBay may be the last for a while.

I did a search for online retailers and I found a few overseas listings, but the sale prices, plus the cost of shipping wouldn't have saved you any money. If you have to have it, then you have to have it...

Its the most I've paid for any music collection but about what I would have paid if I'd have taken the wife out to dinner. Instead, we had pizza and beer last night and had just as good of a time. Collectables are always pretty pricey. I'm actually scaling all my Galactica stuff down but thought this would be a good trade-off.

In an age when the original Galactica has little regard, it's nice to see someone still putting some faith in it.

Intrada should be commended for these releases.

I just finished disk 1 yesterday on the way home from work and started disk 2 on the way to work this morning. Sounds pretty good, but I must say that having any version of a soundtrack that accompanies the launch of a Viper is not the best thing to listen to while you're driving - it makes you want to drive a bit faster than you should!

Heheh... I have known people who have raced down the highway pretending to be in a viper. Not me, but people I know.

I ordered volumes 1 and 2 of this, and should be getting these when I get home in a week. Rip those to MP3 and carry back across the pod. Should be fun.

Thats really funny. I've never done it with BSG music, but I have the soundtrack to the Interstate '76 video game. And I had to quit listening to it when I drive, made me want to fire twin 50's at the other cars on the road a little too much.

also got Vol.II from what I saw of that link. Cover art on Vol.1 doesn't look right, like the words have been 'shopped onto it.

I got both as well. Only listened to Vol1 so far but the opening theme is quite inspiring. Immediately took me back to 1978.

Got volume 2 and really like it. Like how the sound track gives that feeling of being in bizzards of snow. Wonderfully composed.

So wonder when volume 3 will be out?

For anyone still looking to get Volume 2 at a (relatively) reasonable price, there's a guy in France selling them at $50 w/ $3 S&H on eBay. Just got mine yesterday (took a couple weeks) but it's mint condition, still in wrapper and I'm listening to it now as I'm typing this. Definitely the best price I've found anywhere. Other places seem to be selling it for anywhere between $90 to $120.
