It will be approximately 450 pages, 13 chapters, and the ISBN # is 1-591-09-993-5 and has a foreword by Glen A. Larson and an introduction by Richard Hatch as well as the only officially released shots of Richard's trailer. The back cover will be released for display on September 27, 2003 by BattlestarGalactica.com and the book will shortly follow by the first week of October 2003. 8. Action Alerts: For All Battlestar Galactica Fans

Post Office Mail the Universal Entertainment Group

PRESS RELEASE: "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (4-hour miniseries) - SCI FI re-imagines the groundbreaking and beloved series in which 'a rag, tag fugitive fleet' of the last remnants of mankind searches for its true home. Fleeing the aliens responsible for the slaughter of their homeworld, the Battlestar Galactica survivors must meet a whole new set of challenges. This intriguing twist on a classic will be written by writer Ronald D. Moore (Roswell, Mission Impossible II) with Breck Eisner (Steven Spielberg's Taken; The Invisible Man) attached to direct. Distributed by USA Cable Entertainment, the Project will be executive produced by David Eick (American Gothic, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Spy Game)." The new miniseries is a re-imagining, and not a continuation, of the original Battlestar Galactica series, and may not include the original cast, characters, and themes! Send a post office mail to the Universal Entertainment Group! For more information, visit our Battlestar Galactica revival information page.

Boycott Commercial Advertisers of the Sci-Fi Channel

A brand-new web site has launched to support a boycott of commercial advertisers on the Sci-Fi Channel (and Vivendi-Universal, USA Networks/Studios USA). Fans are encouraged to visit the new site, and boycott any sponsor of the "Battlestar Galactica" re-imagining mini-series scheduled for the Sci-Fi Channel in 2003. The boycott site includes a link to the new Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Advertiser Boycott Petition (which we've also included in the list of primary petitions, below.) Also, the site features an extensive list of current advertisers on the Sci-Fi Channel, as well as a form letter that you can utilize. Help support the boycott of sponsors, and spread the word!

NEW! Sign the brand-new Larson/DeSanto 2004 Petition!

A brand-new petition is available for you to sign and show your support for Glen A. Larson and Tom DeSanto to work together on a possible new Battlestar Galactica motion picture. The petition states: "We the fans of the mighty Battlestar Galactica would like to see the combined work of Tom DeSanto and Glen Larson in a major motion picture. As fans we also hope and pray that these two men can bring about a possible continuation with both the characters and actors that made the show a worth while venture. We don't ask for much but hope for a show that will make those who passed proud (Lorne Greene, Lloyd Bridges, Jonathan Harris, and John Colicos). Finally we believe that actions can speak louder then the printed words and hope that both men will take this request to heart." Be sure to sign the petition and spread the word!

Sign the five primary Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions

The five primary Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions are available for you to sign and show your support for Battlestar Galactica. The five petitions listed here are endorsed by BattlestarGalactica.com. Petition #1 is the Battlestar Galactica Revival Petition to signal the sincere hopes that original cast members (and their characters) be considered for regular roles in the new Battlestar Galactica pilot/ongoing series. Petition #2 is the Battlestar Galactica DVD Petition to urge Vivendi Universal and Studios USA to seriously consider the release of ALL episodes of the original Battlestar Galactica television series on DVD/VHS formats. Petition #3 is the Battlestar Galactica New Series Petition aimed directly at the current Sci-Fi Channel happenings and utilizes stronger wording. Petition #4 is the Battlestar Galactica Fight for Survival Petition to support the new Battlestar Galactica production only if it is done right with direct linage of the original series and includes core members of the original cast in their original roles and includes the original Galactica ship. Petition #5 is the Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Advertiser Boycott Petition and states that the thousands of fans are left little choice but to fight back in the only way left to us. We will vote with our wallets and pocketbooks. To those advertisers on the Sci-Fi Channel, we caution you: Beware! We will boycott your advertised products for a period of two years if you sponsor the Battlestar Galactica re-imagining on the Sci-Fi Channel. These are five petitions that are endorsed by BattlestarGalactica.com and BattlestarPegasus.com. You can make a difference by signing the petitions yourself, and be sure to alert your family, friends, and fellow fans as well to visit BattlestarGalactica.com and sign the petitions!

Sign the four additional Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions

The four additional Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions are also available for you to sign and show your support for Battlestar Galactica. The Battlestar Galactica Richard Hatch Petition respectfully requests that Richard Hatch make his trailer, "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" available to be shown on the Internet. Richard Hatch -IS- listening! If you agree with the petition, then sign the petition to make your voice heard. The Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Management Petition requests a change in management at the Sci-Fi Channel. The petition urges the Sci-Fi Channel to focus more on sci-fi programming, including Battlestar Galactica, instead of broadcasting non sci-fi television shows, or axing sci-fi shows that have done well, such as Lexx and Farscape. The Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck Petition is a humorous petition, but for a serious matter: Ron Moore's new Battlestar Galactica mini-series script for the Sci-Fi Channel calls for Starbuck to become a female! Starbuck, one of the original series' most popular characters, becomes Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in the new mini-series, and "Starbuck" is merely her radio call sign. If you want Starbuck to remain a male and make your voice heard, be sure to sign the Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck Petition. Finally, the Battlestar Galactica No Re-Imagining Petition is a succinct petition that supports Richard Hatch's "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" continuation concept over the Ron Moore re-imagining felgercarb. You can make a difference, so be sure to sign the four additional petitions, after you sign the five primary petitions!

A Continuation Script?

Battlestar Galactica fan RGrant has posted his own version of a continuation script: "Here's my work-in-progress that'll probably not progress anymore, but at least it's 100 pages, which is 80 more than I was planning on. After continuing on past Act One, my goal was to hit 130 pages, which with the font size I used would equal the length of one night of Moore's mini. 130 pages equals slightly more than 90 minutes of screen time. As I started working on it again, it was suddenly impossible to finish it in that length. If this is ever finished, it would have to be a four-hour mini too. If you already read Act One when I posted it last month, I took out the part about the Cylons bombing the Orion One colony and changed the name Phillips to Talbot." For the continuation script, be sure to visit RGrant's web site. Many thanks to RGrant for posting the report at Colonial Fleets.

Mini-Series Pushed Back a Day!

The Sci-Fi Channel mini-series web site indicates that Ron Moore's "Battlestar Galactica" mini-series has been pushed back a day from December 7th to December 8th. Of note, December 7th falls on a Sunday this year, just like it did in 1941. Perhaps Bonnie Hammer (finally) realized that it's very bad taste to broadcast a sneak attack mini-series on the same day and date that Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Continuation for the Fans

New report from oldwardaggit of Radio Galactica: "Well for a while now, many of you know that I have been poking my head in here and asking some questions and it was all for a good reason. For the last few months I took on the task of going through all the episodes of Battlestar Galactica that I have recorded to audio. I even went through the Galactica 1980 episodes also and I have been making samples of almost everything they say. Now I have a huge sample of Galactica MP3s that run well into the thousands. I didn't want to say anything until I had something to show and now I do. I've been working with Darrell (Warrior) on an audio version of Battlestar Galactica that will be a continuation 25 yahrens later that is based on what most of the fans have asked for. A sample will be available soon on BattlestarGalactica.com and the whole thing should be ready by the time Galacticon rolls around. The sample is a dream sequence that Apollo has while a sleep in his Viper on a mission with Starbuck. All I will say is, to the fans, Galactica 1980 was a nightmare. Well now it's one to Apollo also. I will open up a thread for discussion in the general discussion forum so feel free to ask any question and take part. Thanks every one." Something to Dance About...

Awesome new report from Jewels at Colonial Fleets: "I need to point something out in very loud letters: The Complete Epic Series, Battlestar Galactica is ranked 219 out of the tens of thousands of things that Amazon sells. To stay within the genre, for comparison sake, the hottest selling (released Aug. 5th, 2003) Star Trek box set at Amazon is Season 4 of Deep Space 9 ranked: 313. And DS9 has not been off the air as long. Excuse me, Bonnie, Ron & David, what was that about 'forgotten' again? That giant awoke. And it wasn't your doing." Thanks to Jewels for posting the awesome report at Colonial Fleets! Update: Jewels report was posted on Sept. 23rd. As of Sept. 26th, the rank is now 121!!

Update on Radio Galactica

New report from oldwardaggit of Radio Galactica: "I am truly sorry that Radio Galactica has been off the air for so long. I wanted to wait for a certain project to get finished but due to health reasons of one of the participants, it had to be stalled for a bit. I started another project for Radio Galactica and the fans but I hope to have the station back up and running before this project is finished. A little while back I reformatted my computer and thought that I would be able to just pop in a disc and have the station back but it turns out that I have to visit ShoutCast.com again and download the goodies. As soon as I do that, I will have it back. Thanks every one for your patience." Thanks to oldwardaggit for posting the report at Colonial Fleets, and we look forward to Radio Galactica's return to the Internet airwaves!

Revival Remarks from Edward James Olmos are posted at his Web Site

The revival remarks from Edward James Olmos (Commander William "Husker" Adama) are now posted on his web site: "I'm going to be the first one to say it really clearly. Please tell your readers, do not watch this program...[P]eople get really, really angry. You've got to remember that this is a show that was only on... in the late '70s, and to this day has a very strong fan base. Tens of thousands of people who write to each other for 25 years over a program that is not on the air and is not even being rerun." "They didn't want this at all, and I didn't know any of this... All of a sudden, my e-mails went through the roof. Suddenly I was accused of teaming up with Ron Moore and creating just a slap in the face of all these people, and I didn't want to slap anybody." "Trust me, don't watch it. If you are a real, real staunch 'Battlestar Galactica' person, don't watch it... Just don't write to me, all right? I warned you. I was honest." "I've gotten some really strong, strong mail... They're really bitter. They're very angry. And I know the Sci Fi Channel wants to say that everybody's going to enjoy it. They're not." Many thanks to ejowebmistress for posting the remarks from Edward James Olmos.

Write Bob Wright, President and CEO of NBC

New announcement from JJRAKMAN at the Battlestar Galactica Club Forums: "Write Bob Wright, President and CEO of NBC! Bob Wright, NBC, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City, NY, 10112. You can remind him of three things: 1) As Warrior pointed out, NBC nearly made the same mistake with the Star Trek franchise. 2) They are taking the long awaited, and correct route with the 'V' franchise, in bringing it back as a continuation. 3) Sci Fi is about to destroy the franchise by remaking it as a soft core adult program. Also, here's some e-mail addresses you can send your letter to in care of Bob Wright. cory.shields@nbc.com, nbcshows@nbc.com. And as always please copy and paste this information to any Battlestar Galactica or Battlestar Galactica friendly sites. Even if you think this is too late, it may still ultimately help remove Bonnie Hammer from Sci Fi to send her back to Lifetime where she belongs. No more Viva Rock Vegas, ugh!" BattlestarGalactica.com REVAMPED!

New report from BattlestarGalactica.com webmaster Darrell Lawrence: "Well, after a long period, I feel the site is ready enough to open. Before I get onto other things, I want to thank a couple of people: First, Michael Faries, who managed the site for quite a long time. He did a lot for fandom, and quite frankly, much is owed to him. Michael, here is wishing you the absolute best! Next is Richard Hatch, who owns the domain. If not for this man, the Revival interest may have waned very quickly. He reaches out to the fans, and tries to give them what they want. Richard, thank you! Next, the site: My name is Darrell Lawrence. After Michael left, Richard asked me to manage his sites for him. I hope I can live up to expectations! The content is near all here from the previous incarnation by Michael. I still have some things to re-add in under the new layout, but the site is fully functional. Feed back is welcome through the Contact page. I hope your navigation through the site is easy. LAUNCH WHEN READY!" Thanks to Darrell Lawrence for the report, and be sure to visit the newly-updated BattlestarGalactica.com!

Galactica Companion Book Pre-Orders

New report from BattlestarGalactica.com webmaster Darrell Lawrence: "As stated by Richie Levine: Battlestar Galactica: The Unofficial Companion, Publisher: Imprint Books, If you want a book at a discounted rate and autographed by the authors you must: 1) Email scifitvbooks@aol.com and in the subject header type PREORDER BSG BOOK, 2) Give your first and last name and your address where the book will be shipped. If your not serious about ordering a book do not waste our time. I will assume that if I get your email that you are interested in purchasing one regardless, 3) The site for the book will be up shortly. At the time it goes up I will begin taking PAYPAL orders first, money orders second and checks third. I will give specific time frames for certain things that you might want as extras, and 4) Want a cast member to sign our front cover for you? We will do our best to have that done for you when you place your order. Remember the more books we can order the better I can make the material extras that will come with your order. Right now I need to know how many people would prefer going through David and I rather then Amazon.com or BN.com. When I know the price of the book and the ISBN number I will pass that along. Richie Levine and David Criswell." Thanks to Darrell Lawrence for posting the report at BattlestarGalactica.com and Colonial Fleets!
