A continuation idea!
Everyone is always talking about a straight to dvd film or a theatrical release for a continuation. Why can't fans take action with their own hands. In a word, money! CFF raised a good amount of money, but what if we could raise the money to finance the film? Sounds impossible? Well its possible, just not likely. I had an odd ball idea that might work. A decent film ranges from 60 to 100 million dollars in budget. Isn't that how much the lottery usually run? There have been reports of towns grouping together to play the lottery and winning! If all of galactica fandom got together on a high stakes lotto, we could have the dough to present to Larson and say "MAKE THE DAMN MOVIE!"
Tag we could use your help!

Interesting idea You may need to have everyone who puts in money for the lottery ticket sign a waiver saying that they will not try to get the money if you win..............I can see that happening

There is still the problem of obtaining the theatrical rights from Larson...
However, if it was done the same way as that Star Trek New Voyages or whatever it's called...

I haden't thought of that. That's a cool idea! Maybe we could get GL to give us an official blessing, like Roddenberry's family did with New Voyages?

I think that Roddenberry's son is involved with New Voyages. Paramount has given permission for New Voyages to proceed with their productions as long as they don't make a profit or any profit is donated to charity.

Yea, Roddenberry's son is an exectutive produdcer. IMO, that shows that if we, as BSG fans are serious, we could make this thing work.
