Star Trek Plans To Save 'Enterprise' Go Forward

From Trek Today:

Plans To Save 'Enterprise' Go Forward

By Michelle

Fans determined to see a fifth season of Star Trek: Enterprise on a network other than UPN will express interest to Paramount via advertising and rallies on both coasts of the US.

EnterpriseFans.com, a joint project of SaveEnterprise.com and The Enterprise Project, has raised the funds to publish a full-page ad in tomorrow's Los Angeles Times, which the organizers determined would be larger and more visible than the originally planned ad in USA Today. The ad may be viewed in PDF format here. A fan at the newspaper made it possible for a full-page ad to be purchased.

In addition to providing forms for fans to mail in to request an additional season of Enterprise, the ad announces a rally in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios. The rally, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on February 25th.

The Enterprise Project has also announced plans to picket at CBS and at Viacom headquarters in New York to express support for additional seasons of Enterprise. On Monday, February 21, Trek fans are invited to begin Presidents' Day at 8:00 a.m. gathering in front of CBS during its morning news broadcast hours. Then, at noon, fans will congregate at Viacom headquarters on Broadway to campaign for either first-run syndication or cable broadcasting for Enterprise. At 3:00 p.m. the lobbying will move to the headquarters of the SciFi Channel to show support for SciFi picking up the series.

More information on efforts to keep Enterprise in production can be found at EnterpriseFans.com, SaveEnterprise.com and The Enterprise Project.

What fateful night was "Enterprise" put on that finally took it off the air after its first run?
