1970s Gasoline powered BSG hovercraft toy?

Greetings fellow BSG followers.

I met with a friend tonight and he offered me a toy he bought as a kid.

He described it as a gasoline powered Battlestar Galactica ship, a hovercraft.

He told me that you started it with a battery and then flew it around you on a tether, the toy skimming a few inches off the ground. Pretty big in size, a couple feet round, and LOUD, the reason it got put away and not eventually destroyed was the fact it was tremendously loud.

I'm guessing by shape it has to be a Cylon Raider of sorts, but I've never heard of one or seen anything like it ever, not even in toy catalogs.

Anyone have any idea's of source, age, value or parts/accessories for such a toy? I've checked online and all the auction sites and nada.
